***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

What are people using to find the phone when it is lost (like Samsung Dove, find my iPhone etc).

I had Android Lost on it and it was working, but It has stopped today (maybe because of 4.2.2?).

What alternatives are there that are compatible (and preferably free)?

you should never use digital zoom, it is far better to take the picture and then crop it as necessary, the difference in quality between the two is noticeable.

cerberus is the app that comes highly rated for lost phones, it isn't free though, i think you should google "own your own android market" ;)
 
Actually, my problem is not just Android Lost!! i can't seem to install or push any apps to my device anymore.

I get "error while retreiving information from server" for any apps I try (paid or free). Maybe this is linked to my Android Lost not working as well?

The only things I have done since it last worked was install 4.2.2 and clear some cache and data for Google Framework services.

in terms of good what exactly are you looking for? because good can mean anything. i'm using the s line wave case which i got for £1.50 delivered on ebay from hong kong. i have bought a few of the cheap ones and this is the best out of the lot, just do not buy the white version (gets dirty too easy).

i am looking to buying a much better case, like a ballistic or otterbox, i hope one is released soon.

Yep its a micro sim. There are guides online to cut it down to size yourself if you're brave, you can also buy a sim cutter for about 2 quid.
 
Been ages since I last looked, but has anyone had any luck buying a car charger that charges the Nexus 4? Mine doesn't and I'm going to need one regularly now. Also need a holder so any recommendations for both would be great.

This is from wiping framework services, you need to remove and re add your Google account on the phone then all will work fine.

This is the Charger I use, which outputs 0.75A so it's faster than the normal cheapo (500mA) ones!

This is the Cradle i use!... (have a lookie in the Nexus 4 Accessories thread for piccies! :) )
 
Does any one else have the buzzing in the earpiece at the moment? I've just noticed it with mine. :(

The rattling I'm OK with, it's the autofocus system.
