Thanks Simian, might well get one of them then if it's a more powerful car charger. My old Desire car charger didn't even charge it when using Maps in car. Just kept it lasting longer haha

So I just got my phone, I am trying to get all the apps from Google Play on to the new phone but it won't restore it. I have all my contacts, emails etc but not the apps. Don't tell me I have to download them indiviudally again?

Also what are the battery tips everyone has said about to get good battery life?
 
Having a little more luck with the battery, managed over 30 hours and 3 hours on screen time on Saturday. Suspend_backoff still driving me insane, mind.

Quick question regarding my old phone (HTC EVO 3D), i bought it new, unlocked from asda, if i do a factory reset it will remain unlocked, right?
 
Quick update, now I've settled in to my Nexus 4 I'm happy to report I comfortably get over 2 days on a single charge.

This weekend I managed 2days 20 hours on 1 charge, normal use, started to re-charge at 10%. Very pleased. Great phone.

Ordered mine last saturday. Did you get any tracking number, etc? My estimated dispatch time is Thursday 21st, was yours something like wednesday 20th?
 
It's something you type to manually apply an OTA update. Basically you boot into recovery and tell it to sideload an update.

Then you fire up the terminal/command prompt on your pc and run "adb sideload filename.zip" and off it goes.
 
I just tried going in to Recovery mode and I got a green android man with his chest open and a red warning triangle on it for ages, thought I'd bricked it then it rebooted in to normal again.

Thanks that fixed it. A load of the google built in apps went back to default settings as a result, but I can change these manually!!
