***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

Is no one else having the text size problem in Chrome after the 4.3 update  Its driving me nuts.

I had it on the Chrome beta before so avoided that but now it is in the main app. I have tried rolling back/updating it to no avail.

I thought more people would have mentioned it. Lots did about the Chrome beta.

I'm getting fairly frequent System UI crashes. Not a huge deal, hopefully something that will be fixed in upcoming PA releases (if it is a PA problem).

Theres a issue with TB and the backup folder location. You need to go into the options and re-detect the backup folder, it'll find two. Choose the legacy one and it'll work fine.
Tried doing that and I still got errors. I don't think it backed up properly on 4.2.2 anyway. Not a big deal for me, I didn't have any data that actually had to be backed up because that was all lost the last time TiBu/Helium lost my backups :D

Unfortunately this a "feature" (they call it font boosting). Nothing wrong with text reflow, but Google won't listen. Best alternative is the stock browser (though you will lose tab sharing between devices, as well as encrypted syncing).

Talking of browsers, they still haven't fixed the cursor jumping.

That has been happening with me on chrome since it was released! :o Don't mind the text being boosted like that but not when you have small font and large font........... Terrible browser, install something much better like xscope, dolphin, next etc. or root your phone and install the best browser, AOSP based one

For those interested in other camera apps. I use on my N4
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.almalence.hdr_plus

However it can produce poor results in bad light so I tend to take two photos one for stock one for hdr below is a good comparison on a good day

What I should have tried is the hdr within stock but missed that :)

What is the stock browser on a nexus 4? Thought it was chrome.

Is that stock one on auto settings? The colour temperature seems way too cold for a bright sunny day. The white balance must have been changed or something.

Ah, presumed you are rooted, I meant the stock Android browser (found in AOSP).

It's available here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2385933

You can install other browsers such as Dolphin, however Dolphin Connect currently doesn't work very well at all (for virtually everyone, it is syncing bookmarks initially, but doesn't sync any changes after that). The stock browser gives you browser sync with Chrome (though you need to make sure that encryption is disabled in desktop Chrome if you use that).

EDIT: I seem to be saying many things about 4.3 :D It seems that downloads while the display is off aren't working still (possibly to do with the Wi-Fi Optimisation setting? Something I'll test at some point), it seems now that the Wi-Fi notification issue is sorted. Cerberus before simply didn't work if the screen had been turned off for more than around 10 seconds. Now it is absolutely fine :)

Scene mode is auto, if I need to check another setting let me know and will do,I'm not aware of changing settings on it.

Right, been a while since I last posted in here, but I'm looking to upgrade from the latest PA 4.2.2 to PA 4.3, and I don't want to lose any data/messages/game saves, etc.

What's the best and easiest way to do this? I've got my phone set up just the way I like at, and want to do a full transfer over to 4.3, is this possible? Cheers.

Use titanium backup. Watch some YouTube vides if you need help with the UI.

It will backup all user apps with settings/game data and SMS etc.

Get pro,on the free one you have to back up one app one by one. No batch setting. This app is well worth the money.

Let's you freeze bloat apps and all sorts of other features.

This, I would pay a lot more for it too, its just amazing and I have had it with me through 3 phones. I used to use mybackup Pro but that just had so many issues with returning my Data.

TBP has never missed a beat and it is also extremely fast.
