Anyone ordered stuff from the Play Store before and have an indication of delivery times?

I lost my SGS2 last week, so I am stuck with a Nokia N85 for now and want N4 ASAP. Problem is, I am going away next weekend, so I really need it before then.

(Buying in store would be the best option for me, but there seems to be confusion about whether it will be offered offline in-store 13-14 Nov or whether the price will be much higher than the Play store).

I can't think of any other Android phone that I want instead, so I am waiting this one out. Reviews don't really bother me as I am sure it will be better than my SGS2 (I was tempted just to buy another SGS2 but the price of N4 is really good and it seems silly to re-purchase the same phone :) )

I'm genuinely expecting this to be a total clusterfudge with Google completely dropping the ball and then running away waving their arms in the air

What benchmarks have u been looking at? :/

Also the guy said it lags/frame skips in games. My s3 hasnt given me those problems so far. Was hoping to maybe get slightly better frames in games i already have and proof a bit for the next year n a half. Still looks a great device for the price, just looks like a potential side/downgrade for my purposes.

If the throttling is fixed then i will just sell the s3 and get one lol

Rob, I know you're into games, but do you really care that much about gaming on a mobile device to hope for slightly better frame rates in games you already own for the S3? Because lets be honest, there won't be a noticeable difference in them regardless of what benchmarks say. All benchmarks are just colourful willy waving anyway :D

Buy one, you know you want to :p
 
Ordered my Three contract earlier. I will be ordering this before the live page refreshes at Google's end!

i cant see the phone being in the shops on the 13th and if so at a higher price. makes no sense as you cant even pre order yet.

The N7 is in bricks n mortar shops at same price as the Play store, or £10 cheaper depending on where you go.

How long after its initial release they got there though I don't know.
 
I'm going to the O2 Speed Rating event in Covent Garden tomorrow where I'll be able to play with one of these handsets. I will come back with a review :)
