*** THE OFFICIAL MAX PAYNE 3 THREAD ***

Completed it last night and agree with all the comments on this page. It really is a fantastic game draws you in and makes you not want to stop.

I am not normally a single player kind of guy, so saying I completed this in two days screams volumes to me. Single player alone would have got this a 10/10 in my books though the multiplayer is not fantastic so a very solid 9/10.

I cant believe people are saying the graphics are poor on this game :O. Other then crysis they are the best I have ever seen! If your in two minds just buy it already!

Only way to get fraps to work on retail is to crack the game, sad state of affairs but it's the only way to bypass the DRM and allow monitoring software to work. I bought the game but had to resort to this to record gameplay.:mad:
 
My copy arrived today, looking forward to playing it after work :)

really? what about other software like Dxtory, Bandicam etc?
 
Why are people talking about cracks for the game?

I bought the retail copy and installed. And played with no issues just 2 patches downloaded.

Just make sure your gfx drivers are the most upto date....

Make sure you're using the latest graphics drivers, and make sure your windows updates are all up to date. Worked fine for me after that.

Never tried them but I don't think they will work, crack got me through single player with no problems. I backed up the original exe so I can now restore it and play multi-player on the legit.

You can record with MSI Afterburner and monitor everything but the FPS (I doubt the hundreds of FPS shown are "real") , without the need of using that crack. For instance http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVLD1iiwTiM&feature=youtu.be
It's a little bit choppy (only the recording), but what can you do to stay legal? :))

done a few chapters, gameplay is really good, story is ok, dialogue is absolutely terrible i dont believe how wrong they have got max. Its like they never played the first two games.

this game appears so far anyway (chapter 5) to be completely devoid of intelligent writing, gone are all the witty remarks and metaphors. Its like they got the people who did the movie to write the game.
