** The Official Nvidia GeForce 'Pascal' Thread - for general gossip and discussions **

To be honest it is really difficult to take anything from those Ashes benches. It all just seems like a big mess :p

And the reason owners getting excited when trying to defend is because they want shot of theirs for the new cards. The owners not bothered want to keep anyway so don'tcare. Human psychology.

Of course it will, it's no longer the new kid on the block, but those numpties who think they'll be able to pick one up for £200 in a couple of months are clearly off their meds!

Why won't they drop to £200?

Of course it depends on the final price and performance of the 1070. If the rumors are true and it's as fast or faster than the 980Ti and costs £300, who in their right mind would pay £250 for a second hand one?

Somebody who can get the same performance for £50 less?

Linky to this please?

I now want to read this myself...But I think you are making it up for some odd reason...

I don't know why you keep asking this?

The reason everyone thinks the 1070 will be faster is that Nvidia themselves have said it will be, and spec wise it makes sense as well. There is literally a point in the press conference where Jen introduces the 1070 and sates explicitly that it is faster than a Titan X.

As said it is only "rumoured" as we have no benches to go on but rumours that it will be faster have more substance than you just saying it won't be with absolutely nothing to back it up.

You honestly believe that a card which is currently going for £500 new will be able to be bought at more than 60% mark down second hand just months later? Even if you ignore the performance difference between the 980ti and 1070/1080 for one second (which you can't actually ignore anyway), when has this ever happened ever in the history of GPU's?? Prices WILL drop, no question, but some people need a reality check. 1070 won't cost £300, again you're dreaming. Nice dreams admittedly, but a dream nonetheless. £350 MINIMUM, and Founder's Edition will be more.

IMO 1070 will probably be pretty close to TX performance - maybe a tiny touch slower in some older games and cope a little better in some newer games.

its not a "read", the livestream is on Youtube, the bits to watch are near the end, most of the first hour is about the extra features coming, only the last 15-20 minutes is specifically about the new cards
