Why the rush? You have one of the best cards on the market. In a month or two there will be lots of cards to choose from and there will be better info on the true high end cards. AMD will have their offerings out and might make a difference in price.

29th is rumoured to be the 1070 nda lift.
There is already talk of the power being restricted on the 1070 to cap overclocks...so people buy the 1080 instead.
Of course a bios or AIB cards can circumnavigate this dodgy practice from NV
And we good see 1070 cards a lot closer to 1080 and faster than 980ti by a considerable margin.

Well I don't think it will be "faster than 980ti by a considerable margin.", but as the base clock is 100mhz lower than the 1080 and from the first leak it beats a 980ti stock, then it might be around equal for OC 980ti vs OC 1070, I don't know I wish they would release all cards at once so we can just decide what we want and be done with it, getting a new GPU is like gambling on the stock market.
No... I have an AMD 5870 on an Acer X34 monitor....... because the 980ti is gone already... should have waited but I panicked so there we go

980Ti sold here for a 1070 too, awaiting the 1080Ti, but preordered a 1080 strix just to be safe. I can always cancel that preorder in a few weeks.

But is getting a 1070 from a 980ti a win? prob minimal difference in outlay, but also no difference in performance... I don't know I think I will wait for some reviews of the custom 1080's and also 1070's.
The other thing is the 1080ti, that will depend on if Vega is any good... just don't know!

Yeah but via paypal if you cancel (which they do in minutes) you have it back instantly. Also, I have quite a buffer saved up.

I think it takes up to 10 days to get it back in account, it does for me anyway, stays on pending for up to 10-14 days or something like that.

I had a gaming 290X and 970 and the cooler did a great job. If going MSI, I would go for that purely on noise and ability to keep the card cool.
