All the fear mongering on both sides. I think for a lot of people it was one or a couple of issues sealed their vote & the vast majority voted with the countries best interests at heart. I certainly don't begrudge the remainers their reasons.

I don't begrudge the remain or the leave for their reasons other than the silly scare mongering (like immigration) but other than that I completely understand why people wanted to stay or leave. There are fair arguments on both sides, but for me it was more compelling to stay in.

Anyway it will be interesting to see what happens, but I am nervous about it...

No you seem to have missed my point; the irony of celebrating one goddawful campaign at the expense of another goddawful campaign.

Apologies. I sometimes mis-read things written like that. :(

You're right though. It was petty bickering for most of it, which is to be expected to be honest. Pathetic, but that's our democracy in motion.

My Facebook feed is interesting, the people I would typecast as intelligent and successful are disappointed with the result, and the ones who'd I'd typecast as less intelligent and more working class are happy. Has anyone else noticed the same?

No, it's a mix for both sides. Remain has its morons too

For the record, I didn't vote as I truly believe it won't matter either way.

Just kicking back and enjoying the media hysteria, scaremongering and righteous social media politicians declaring how the country is now going to drop in to financial ruin because we're all uneducated racists...

80k signatures on the petition already. The volume of traffic is crashing the website!

This is the kind of **** as to why the UK will never move forward, no one can seem to accept a result in this country, we have calls for a 2nd Scottish referendum all the time and now we have a stupid petition for a 2nd EU referendum.

Until we actually exit, we are obliged to action EU laws but will no longer have a say in decisions! Hmm, that's not good.
Andi.

From the bbc - How long will it take for Britain to leave the EU?
The minimum period after a vote to leave will be two years. During that time Britain will continue to abide by EU treaties and laws, but not take part in any decision-making, as it negotiated a withdrawal agreement and the terms of its relationship with the now 27 nation bloc. In practice it may take longer than two years, depending on how the negotiations go.

Same as Wales have done.

Sorry lads and lasses, you voted that way, you gotta bear the consequences.

It's a Joke.

There should have been a double referendum on this issue.

1. Do we want to leave the EU in principle.
2. Do we want to leave once we understand the post exit deal.

Top work.

Regions with the biggest votes for Leave are also the most economically dependent on the EU http://on.ft.com/28SsiHq

We're also unlikely to get any say at all if we join the tariff-free trading that the EU have, no matter how well we 'negotiate.'

Yes.

This Referendum was won based on the arguments around Immigration. Anyone who perceves their job/home/life to have been negatively impacted by Immigration will have voted Leave. These people are likely to be those in lower paid, lower skilled jobs as that is where the migrant workers have gone.

No highly paid, highly skilled worker is fearing a Turkish migrant taking their job.

Yeah. If theres less than 75% turnout and a closer than 60/40 split in the results then the Referendum can be rerun as the results are deemed to not conclusively reprisent the nation.

But if it was the other way around and Bremain won? :D

Lets be honest,Remain are just butt hurt that it didn't go their way.

I understand both sides of the story,Why people votes out,why people voted in etc...BUT the results are done,Why is it so hard for people to just accept it.
