All these councils that now want their funding guaranteed should really have been actively telling people living there what the EU actually does for them. To have a majority leave vote and then be all like "oh but we still want all the moneys, kthx" is laughable.

I simply cannot see that being a priority the way things stand.

So what is the plan? What are we getting on with? There is a plan right?

That comes with the new leader. However I think this will be the order of events:
New PM is voted in by parliament.
Then there is a general election.
After this they initiate article 50 presenting a comprehensive plan at the same time.
The negotiation begins.
The UK and EU quickly agree on a few things they have in common such as trade.
They then begin to work through the rest.
The UK ends up completely outside the EU or in some form of associated partnership which the Germans have already said the UK should become.

I think an associated partnership position is most likely and this will be focused on trade. The rest we will have to wait and see.

I don't think that is the case
out of the remain voters I know - of variety of ages - some on social media - some not at all
the common theme is mighty annoyed
Yes, annoyed but accepting in that what's done is done and we need to focus on working to sculpt the future. Not insulting each other as that benefits no one and just creates un-neccesary conflict

I've not got that feeling

I think annoyed AND not accepting the decision has completely been made

why would you not stand up for something that could effect you for 20+ years

its not like buying a 1080 and finding and you've lost the silicon lottery

Indeed, Proportional representation is a must for any democracy. And the house of lords needs scrapping or its members need to be voted in.

The role of the second house is to stop the lower house passing stupid ass laws in haste or kneejerk reactions.
As soon as we make that house elected, it loses the ability to perform its role.

Better just scrap it completely if you want change, rather than pay for two sets of the same thing.

I know but surely we need to look at the bigger picture in that flip flopping and asking for more referendums wont improve our position or make the EU like us any more than they currently do
