Forgot about these, they have been stuck on top of a cupboard for years hence the dust. Still can't bring myself to disassemble them.

Lego was cool 20 years ago. I don't like the pre designed kits of today... Nothing like having a massive box of different bricks and flat pieces... Only guide was your imagination.

Not exactly a fad per say, more of a bug that some people have, and others dont, and as such we get the urge to re-live our childhood and buy expensive lego kits, i dunno hard to explain really.

Damn this thread. Went straight to ebay after to bid on Lego set 6339 and lost. Second hand stuff still fetches quite a bit of money it seems. Wish I'd kept mine together better, not that I'd sell it anyway.

Loving the last shot Mr Jones!
My Dad recently brought all our old lego down so I can split with my brother and share with our own kids. Its been so cool opening up boxes and boxes of lego, the memories have pouring back. The best surprise was that we still have all our old manuals so I am currently building about 15 space lego sets with my 4 year old son. He loves it more than I could ever imagined! Will take some pictures when they are all built...if I can get to them before he 'modifies' them that is!
