Avengers Helicarrier!!?!??!?!!

Is that a Lego own or the result of the one on Ideas (in which case they have accidentally leaked the llatest winner).

It's probably the one on the Ideas site as it's been doing the rounds. It was at Comicon, etc.

I doubt very much they'll release that helicarrier, it's just far too huge and they'd have to charge far too much. Consider UCS Falcon at 5200pc (£350), Sandcrawler 3200pc (£250) and SSD 3152pc (£350)... a 22,000 piece Helicarrier would be amazing, but £1500+.

I'd buy it in a heart beat, but i doubt they'd sell enough to make it worth while. Maybe they'll release a 5k piece version, which would still be awesome! The helicarrier is up for review this month :)

Yeah the Ideas set is clearly to large to make it straight through. It will be SSD sized I expect.

If the rumours aare true that this is scheduled for release in March then it can't be linked to the Ideas set. I expect Marvel have spotted the Ideas set and decided to work with Lego on building a UCS to tie in with the new movie outside of the ideas process. They might artificially rubber stamp the Ideas set and then slot this set in as its production model, but that might upset some of the people who supported it who are expecting an enourmous set.

Either way, I'm getting one.

Cancelled my Slave 1. It's not going to sell out fast and I don't see the point of it sitting there in a box for months. It's too near Christmas to be able to give it to my son and too expensive as a birthday present. I will pick it up at the end of the year unless he parts with his own money.

Ordered 10 x Series 13 minifigures and the Double Decker Couch to pick up from Argos later.

I've read that the ladders on the couch don't sit perfectly vertical due to a slightly bad design, so I might add 2 extra spacers if I can find some :o

Correct. I still love it as I look at it right now but why it the hinges to clip them aren't at the top instead is beyond me.

Looking at the pictures on Brickset it looks like adding spacers would tilt the ladders the other way as it's too much. The problem is because they clip to the middle of a brick.

If Argos now have stock I may have to grab myself one.

I just want the king which will go well with the castle/kingdom sets my son has. :) Is there anyway of telling other than feeling?

Didn't the older series have packet markings?

You could tell some of the older ones through the bump codes on the back, but that got a lot more inaccurate, to the point I think where it no longer really worked.

Feeling is the only way really, or just pay for a specific one on a seller site that someone has already opened. If I get a duplicate King later I'll PM you.

Thanks :)

The Castle stuff is really good but my son always complains there's no real bad side like there was when I was a kid. I had the kings castle and a black knight set in the late 80's. I wish they would add more to that line up, sadly my son is 5 or so years too late for the troll/dwaves stuff. I have been trying to get Vlads castle on ebay set 8877 as quite a few sets went for £50ish boxed but it's been going mental since before xmas :(

Well, the Helicarrier is due February so not long to wait !!! I'm more interested in the Simpson's House with the Kwik-E-Mart myself, have my very own Springfield :D
