***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

It looks legit as legit can be at this stage!, even has set numbers, promo kit and stuff.

Cheers. I was going to say it does seem pretty detailed and mostly acruate as far as we can tell. However, the code for the TIE Fighter is actually the code for the Sandcrawler, so its not entirely accurate.

If the UCS Helicarrier is confirmed it would make sense for it to be released around the same time as the Age of Ultron film, so I wouldn't be surprised to see that shift towards May rather than be as early as Feb.

It's probably the one on the Ideas site as it's been doing the rounds. It was at Comicon, etc.

I doubt very much they'll release that helicarrier, it's just far too huge and they'd have to charge far too much. Consider UCS Falcon at 5200pc (£350), Sandcrawler 3200pc (£250) and SSD 3152pc (£350)... a 22,000 piece Helicarrier would be amazing, but £1500+.

I'd buy it in a heart beat, but i doubt they'd sell enough to make it worth while. Maybe they'll release a 5k piece version, which would still be awesome! The helicarrier is up for review this month :)

Yeah the guy who designed the original 22K piece version has already redesigned it to a 6700 piece beasty.

I imagine the Lego folks will tweak the design a bit and reduce that count down to the 5K range.

Either way it's awesome :D

Trust me your address and I'll send you a spare I have.

Thanks, very kind. I just spent half hour in tesco trying to feel for a crown. Every bag felt the same to me :D

I need to work my way though brickset to find other older series characters that might go well with Lego castle stuff :)

Yeah they need to manage expectations. As awesome as the 22,000 piece model is, nobody could realistically expect Lego to produce that as a set.

I wonder if we are lining up for a new record set? Currently the Taj Mahal is the largest ever Lego set at 5922 pieces. Although thats a bit skewed as its lots of little pieces. The SSD is massive, but as there are lots of large plates it has a much lower piece count.

Where can I get a single Homer figurine on the high street? The Lego store is miles away from me.

I've seen some supermarkets and Argos still stocking the Simpsons stuff, but it's being phased out now and I don't think they restock.

TBH if you want the specific figure, just get one off eBay or one of the Lego trading sites, then it's guaranteed.

It's seems to be around £4 per figure in eBay and you get to choose what you want. Think I'll just get a few that relates to the simpsons house and the Kwik-E-Mart. I wonder what they would make after this, Moe's? Nuclear Power Plant? Mr Burn's House? The school perhaps.

If they make it to scale to the Simpson's house, the Power plant would be absolutely enormous !!!! Probably too big to be a realistic chance of it being made. Same goes for the School as well.

I can't imagine Moe's passing the criteria for a childrens toy :p. There's not much else that would fit the scale so I doubt they will make any more buildings. They could add some vehicles maybe? Mr Plow? School Bus?

Good point, Lego and a filthy bar doesn't exactly scream child friendly.

I've just bought Granpa Simpsons on eBay. Tempted to get Krusty, Mr Burns and the Chief but they are not cheap when you pay for specific ones.

If you've got other figures you don't want try trading them on swapfig.com. I've used them quite a bit when I've picked up duplicate figures.
