That's cause it's a Mega Bloks set, not a Lego set. :p You can tell by the massive customer parts they use in all their sets - the prime examples in this one being the spokes, exhausts, handlebars, etc.
 
I raided the Argos sale at weekend and now have the following Lego Technic sets:

Mobile Crane (8053)
Container Truck (8052)
Excavator (8043)

I built the crane yesterday afternoon and it's really smart... I was well impressed with the gearing in it. Only downside is that it takes a lot of turning to operate the crane - it really should have the power set, so I guess I'll have to add that.

I saw one of those yesterday, was tempted to buy it for my boy but will wait to see what new year deals pop up in a couple of weeks. he won't get it till his birthday regardless
 
All these models are far too perfect, where's the houses made of multi coloured bricks and planes with square fuselage!

Unfinished truck from back in the day. Pneumatics and electrics that can't be quite made out was for a lifting arm that could also swivel. But I've lost it. Was going to give the cabin the ability to tilt. Steering is operating via a wheel from the back of the truck. Aggressive front of the truck inspired by truck from Universal Soldier. :o



Probably won't sell this as it's worth nothing unlike this next model.

Model 8880 that is (car). This sold on the aution site from a seller at £105 iirc. Shame I can't be arsed checking if I have all the other parts necessary to build the F1 car. To do this would mean dismantling and rebuilding as the models don't come with inventory lists.



The helicopter is model 8485. It also builds a dinosaur and hovercraft. Same again. Not sure I have all the pieces for the other 2 models. The last rotor blade is actually being used on the cabin roof of the truck.
