***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

Internet and boredom can be costly. Finished building one of the other Architecture builds and at the end they show other buildings, so got curious to see if they were still around and some where so, ahem yeah, bought a couple more sets. :o

On a side note, have been looking at the Taj Mahal building, anyone got it and is it a fun build, even if it all look the same colour wise ?

Taj Mahal currently sitting BNIB on a shelf in the garage. Was thinking about bringing it up but seems a rather tedious build. That, and I’ve nowhere to put it at the moment.
Reminds me of the Sydney Opera House, which was repetitive.

Went through some moving boxes and found Kwik-E-Mart and the Simpsons House loose in bags so currently building those. OMG building big sets with all the pieces strewn all over the place is a nightmare. Spend more time searching than you do building!!

Alright, I do have a space for it, and considering the amount of pieces it is rather cheap compared to other larger builds. Guess I be continuing to ponder it then ! :D :p

Well, that's part of the fun. I built the Empire State Building (1767 pcs) earlier and just opened all the bags, sorted it by colour and size. Just did the same with the Statue of Liberty (1685 pcs), since so much time off there is plenty of time. Saying that, not sure how big your two builds are so might not liked it. I am pretty sure building the Millennium Falcon with all bits in a pile would be a nightmare !

I just found this partially built set in the shed, going to build the rest of it up.

Aha! Another Mould King fan.

I bought and built this one just before the 30% virus price hike happened and have to say that it's been the best thing I've ever laid fingers on.

Bruno Jensen is a genius designer and Mould King have taken it further. I like Mould King better than Lego.

One thing I totally love is the way they've incorporated the Buwizz "style" 2.4 Ghz Bluetooth battery control box into the roofline.

Controlled by a smart phone or the included remote control box. This thing goes like stink.

Lego have a bit of catching up to do in the power function stakes I reckon.

Completely agree, the fact that you're are provided with a remote in a addition to using the app puts it ahead of the latest Lego PF offering.

Your pics above have now put that MP4 on my want list, just wish I had stocked up a little more before the price hikes.

Yeah. So glad I bought it when I did. Paid just under £80 after the reddit 5% discount code and it arrived 7 days after ordering. Has 4 L motors, a servo, 4 port battery / 2.4ghz control unit and a full lighting kit included. When you consider that a buwizz unit costs £138 alone? Bit of a bargain really.

I got the Bruno J designed blue AMG Mercedes as well. Same deal.

Given up with Lego cars for the time being. I had the Landrover recently and couldn't get the gearbox to work , the Porsche RSR 42096 needed a few mods to get rid of the slop in the steering and a few extra parts were needed to lower the ridiculous ride height. Really not good Technic car design coming out of Lego at the moment.

Those red rimss on the MP4 look pretty good on the Porsche RSR too, as do the AMG chromed ones, another reason I bought into Mould King, Lego rims are so bland and boring.
