***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I like others above have fallen out of love with the Technic range. But other themes are completely bossing it for me:
  • Creator expert has been great, modular buildings, vehicles, fairground rides - all fantastic.
  • The architecture line has come on leaps and bounds in the last few years. Just compare the recent Tokyo skyline to the London one from a few years ago, huge improvements to the designs. I'm really enjoying this one. The new White House set looks way better than the old one.
  • Ideas has been surprisingly great, some really good, unique models have come from the program.

You bought a few of them? Woah.

You do realise that Lego have introduced an agent that completely ruins sets that are stored and not opened within 6 months yeah?

Business is business right?

Lolwut. Add some sauce to this spicy dish pls.

Phew. You guys. You'll believe anything.

Why would Lego produce stuff that could sit in its crinkly cellophane bags, for like, years?

Where is the business sense in that?

Get real people.

You have a strange sense of humour, one post you tried to play a joke, the next one basically calling people fools. You must be fun at parties.

I always did the Technic sets and my wife the Creator sets. The Creators are absolutely superb and lend themselves very well to Lego. The Disney Castle is on a whole new level, my wife is a massive Disney fan and the amount of little details and Easter eggs are fantastic.

Technic seems to be focussed mainly on these big licenced cars now, none of which have piqued my interest. People were falling over themselves for the GT3 but you could've taken the wing off the back and told people it's a beetle and nobody would've noticed.

As you say, straight edges don't convert to round shapes very well. I have the crane, the Volvo digger and a few other large sets whivh I love, the excavator just felt like a flex that flopped. I wish I got the Arocs though.

My wife loves her Disney castle, it’s such an interesting set and looks great.

I do agree though the new technic stuff is pretty boring, very similar and lots of cars.

Someone on Twitter has said that Lego have withdrawn all Lego police sets from sale and donated a fairly large sum of money to anti racism groups? Big if true.
