***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

The Lego store sure doesn’t dispatch quickly.

I’m accumulating boxes quicker than I can build them. Knowing me I’ll get bored soon. It’s quite addictive though.
It takes about a week for me but I not bothered about that.

The accumulation is a problem as I have four waiting for build but nowhere to put them and the urge to get more in the future has to stopped.

Making progress on the typewriter!

Great fun so far

Just ordered the Lego Technic Tow Truck, set number 42128.

Has got some pneumatic functions as well so looking forward to the build (apparently quite a rare thing on recent models).

Off work after having my appendix removed on Monday (was on the verge of bursting according to the surgeon after they'd removed it, so a lucky escape). Lego will be a good time filler over the next week.

Wishing you a speedy recovery, sounds like a good way to spend the time!

Thank-you, really appreciate the well wishes.

Lego just been delivered as well so that's some entertainment now sorted, going to try and stretch out the build.

It's just over 2000 pieces so a reasonable size.

Going to try and look at a way of motorising the pneumatics, it's a manual pump system in the model. I've got an old Lego compressor from a set when I was a child so going to try and shoehorn this in.

I'm a long time lurker who recently discovered this very expensive thread. This week I picked up the Tallneck as my first lego purchase in over 25 years and what a joy it was to build.
As a result I had been keeping an eye out and was luckily able to secure a Delorean on Friday before they went out of stock again.
Also have to admit in picking up the Mclaren F1 car as well. I'm going to have my work cut out. . All in a good way.

Yeah, I wonder what it's like hung. Think it would go well in our hallway or something.

Unfortunately they are a bit strict on it all and she's not comfortable using it on family even, sorry man. They have like 6monthly reviews on how you can and can't use your discount, seems Ott To me!

If it was mine, I'd do that for you
Has Any one built /hung the world map?

It's got 20% off at JL so down to £175. We then get 25%off with GFs discount and I have a MyJL £10voucher to use! Brings it down to around £122, that seems a steal

I got it when it first came out, i loved how it turned out by my word is a bloody boring long build. I found it really boring, to the point it actually annoyed me.

Looks great, thanks

Ouch, that bad huh?

I was thinking it might be one to do together with the GF. She enjoys doing the odd set and loves things like Picross etc and this feels kind of like that

It’s split into sections, I can’t remember how many exactly but it’s just tiny little circles. One after the other a million times over. There’s a couple of things you can do like pin locations you’ve been or hoping to go or landmarks etc I like the classic look though.
