***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I love DPD. My Lego was going to work, but I’m stuck at home with Covid. So easy to change the delivery address.

Started the X wing today (loving the the wing mechanics, haven’t quite figured out how it will translate to the wings moving yet). Marauder arrived too. Razor crest and Fett’s ship arrive tomorrow :)
I've got poes xwing, and the only issue I've git is that I had it display with the s foils deployed as it looks cool. Unfortunately this has the side effect of stretching the rubber bands so when they're closed, the bottom ones sag. Not a major issue, could replace them with o-rinfs, it's just a bit annoying.

The gunship is arriving Friday/Saturday :D - can’t believe how slow Zavvi have been, but it was a decent price.

I’ve got Luke’s. It’s a good value build, more so than the N-1. The technic is quite clever. I assume it’s very similar to Poes.

I built Luke's X-Qing at the weekend. Good build although it's didn't take long at all.

Finished the X-wing :)

Plus all of the other sets that have now arrived and are awaiting construction.

Will start the gunship next. Can’t believe how many packs there are inside! It’s definitely sold me on getting the falcon and AT-AT down the road.

I'm about 2/3rds the way though the gunship (in hard mode as always :p), I'm enjoying it, but it's a bit on the big side. I reckon it's not far off the length of the falcon (which was another good build). Im holding off on the atat untill its on sale sonewhere, sure i only paid 500 for my falcon.

What is ‘hard mode?’ :)

Yes, I’ll be waiting for a sale on both of them.

Opened all the bags and put them in a pile together. As opposed to doing them in numbered order.

Years ago they never came in numbered bags, it was in a few bags, sorted by size mostly.

Brave! The bags do make it a little easy though. When building the N1 I didn’t realise the bags were numbered and it certainly added to the challenge, even with a much smaller build.

That’s a skip from me, classic space just doesn’t hit the nostalgia box for me at all. While it’s meant to look classic, Lego has evolved to be much more intricate in the last two decades.

Edit: surprised no one posted about the new huge castle set, that always seems to be big with adults looking for nostalgia.

Edit2: I think I counted 21 mini figs
