***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I wasn't initially impressed with the kit but the more I look at it the more I'm starting to appreciate it.

It would look amazing with a good lighting kit as well.

it's an incredibly impressive set, not cheap, but its got some great features, mini fig selection has put the price up, but its rather shiney, it is certainly going to be a purchase!

Bought the new clone battlepack in the Brighton store. Haven’t built much recently, but ultimately holding off buying too much for the AT-AT nearer the end of the year. Will get the inquisitor ship before it goes. Stock across the board seems better post Christmas.

It would be really great if our cats would stop hiding my minifigs.

The LOTR set looks amazing. Just don't think I can put something like that anywhere in the house. Too big.

My main issue now is I like the bigger sets. But space is basically gone.

I'm considering boxing up and selling sets. Ucs falcon is prime candidate at the moment. It's huge. It's not really display friendly. By that I mean all the grey looks a bit "drab".
I'll give you £1.50 for it. I've got some wall space still :D

Although I'm saving that for a Batwing...

Just finished building the LEGO 42107 Technic Ducati Panigale & would recommend it. less than £50 & it's an enjoyable build with comparatively few tedious/repetitive build bits compared with the larger sets, some cool new parts, lots of functionality all things considered inc 2 speed gearbox, good looks and is a nice size to display.

Also picked up the 42145 Technic Airbus H175 Rescue Helicopter while it's on offer for £120 - looks like a really technically interesting build, possibly the most interesting in the last few years.

I fo like that, reminds me of the old red one I had as a kid (which now resides in my loft). Might get it now at that price, it's normally 180.
Amazon have it at 24 quid a month for 5 months. At that price I think you can guess that I've ordered it :p .

Anyone else got the Saturn V rocket.

Can't remember how it happened, but one of my dogs ended up chewing a few of the pieces of the blue 'stand'

I ordered what I thought was the correct replacement - Part number 6388643, but it's arrived and is a darker blue and I can't seem to find the correct piece on the Lego 'pick a brick' site anywhere: https://www.lego.com/en-gb/pick-and-build/pick-a-brick

I looked through the various colours they offer of that piece and they don't do a lighter blue.

Any ideas?

Did you check the manual for the parts list at the back? If you don't have it anymore you can download it and that will have the parts list in. Not all parts in my experience are on the pick a brick pages so you may need to go on Bricklink but easier to work out what part it is you definitely need first from the books. From what I can see it should be part 6343716.

That said - it seems to becoming more and more common that Lego's colours aren't matching very well from piece to piece.

Might also be your blue has faded a bit too, although didn't they change from abs plastic a while ago? That may have changed the colour if they were still getting the process correct.

Only real series lego have exciting anymore is Botanical sets.

I love my house plants. But some spaces just don't have the light. ie downstairs toilet.

Newest set on kitchen table.
