***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

Oh dear. I appear to have bought a Le Mans race car to build this weekend while the race is on.

I still have a Defender sitting unopened and need to finish the last bag of the McLaren too.
What did you get? I've got the Ferrari 488 GTE and the Porsche 911 RSR still to build once I've finished the McLaren F1. Do like the look of the Peugeot 9X8 but that might have to wait till i've built some of these!

The new Lego 10320 Icons Eldorado Fortress has been listed.

July release at £189 with 2509 pieces. Looks good. Brick built base, small ship, modular fortress that separates into sections.

Seems to be close enough in size when closed up to my 6276 original which is 30 studs wide and this looks to be about 40 wide; thus Billy Bookcase compatible.

Feels like a release day must buy to me. Hopefully some decent freebie GWP but don't recall one with the 2020 Barracuda Bay set.

This looks like it will be a really engaging build with virtually no repetition. Pirates Of Barracuda Bay is still my all time favourite build for sheer enjoyment and satisfaction at the end result.

I've still got my Eldorado fortress, the box is long gone but I can still make the fortress with maybe a couple of bricks here and there missing :D

I made a lot of my sets up over the last few years. The Eldorado Fortress was the first one I started with.

Still got the space monorail 6990 left to build.

I had that one on the right, and a similar one to that on the left as a kid. Don't think they were that expensive then though.

Think I paid £9 for Sabre Island when new and Forbidden Island was about £17 ish.

I found my original catalogue which I spent months and months deciding which to save up for and buy.

Imperial trading post was the other one I had.

Eldorado Fortress reviews are up.

Looks great fun if you're into this genre and minifig scale.

I'm definately getting this on release.

The new fortress is a definite purchase, though I'll wait and see if it goes general availability or exclusive, discount or points... Also had the original, might dig out the parts next time im home.

I'm not sure I can say I had a post removed last time when discussing selling!

But yea, reluctant sale as it's my favourite set - but Wedding costs are not cheap and its been in storage for a while... secretly hoping we see another UCS version in the future!!

Fair enough - what sort of price are you hoping to get then?

I've stuck it up for £600 (there is another up for £675 only difference being they have a box, I do not) - Bricklink has it at £550 as average sale price for complete set over last 6 months - so I've gone higher more so to help with the emotional battle of putting it up haha. So ideally I'll net that £550 mark; I've generally got around the Bricklink average on previous sales.

The Super Star Destroyer is likely next up...

That sold at asking price in <4 hours of being listed!! WOW

I've got the clipper (blue sails) upstairs. It's my all time fav and the greatest gift my parents ever got me back in 1989
