Camera is decent enough.

So here's a strange issue I have...

I use AWS WorkSpaces for remote desktop, and sometimes find I have to tether off my mobile for the internets.
Using my OnePlus 3, I could successfully connect to WorkSpaces
Now using Oneplus 6, I cannot connect to WorkSpaces - it seems as though the hotspot on the OnePlus 6 blocks some of the ports, or something...

Bit annoying, but I'll live.

I've upgraded from a Oneplus One, so obviously really impressed.
I've never used split screen before, how do you enable it? I'm using gestures on the navigation bar if that makes a difference.

What things are soooooo much better?

Not that much of a price difference, S9+ can be had for around £600.

Well it is technically a better phone in many aspects: screen, wireless charging, camera, speakers. Some folks will still prefer oneplus for non curved edge and more of a stock android experience but it is fair to say that samsung is a better phone overall I think. The whole point of oneplus is the price point, not superiority to the flagships.

Noticed a minor thing: whilst using official reddit android app with amoled black theme and night mode enabled there is a purple smear when scrolling. Not a big deal but hopefully this can be fixed in future updates unless this is simply oled display limitation.

Thats nothing, try the Boost Reddit app. The gamma is all messed up.

Sorry but Samsung software sucks. I can't comment on the other stuff as I've only used the S9, not the S9+, but Samsung's Tizen skin on Android is rubbish and always has been. I had the Galaxy S7 and I've tried an S9 for a bit and it's poor compared to stock Android and Oxygen OS. Samsung's TV software is average at best as well, I've had lots of issues with my QLED TV. They make lovely looking products with great hardware specs but their software is poor for a company of their size.

I was only commenting on camera software... I haven't had enough time with the OS to comment on that appropriately yet. But so far, it's significantly quicker than the 1+6 with no noticeable input lag... so general use is already a step up.
I've had every android flagship this year and nothing comes close to the 6. The 9+ is never faster. Not even out the box.

I have the OnePlus 5T get ridiculously good wireless speeds and super fast UI. Having had 5 Samsung devices in the past I do find it hard to believe the 9+ is faster than the OnePlus 6. I'd bet it not being as fast as my 5T.
