It could be lifted off something by someone who knows what they're doing.
I guess the point is - which method is easiest to break if you have the skills? Brute forcing or guessing a password is going to take a lot longer than faking a fingerprint, if you know what you're doing. But both methods should be fine for your average home user. It's only when we start thinking about motivated and skilled hackers that it's really worth worrying about the insecurity of a fingerprint lock IMO.

...did you buy the phone from Oneplus or O2?
It's the only thing holding me back from buying the OnePlus ..... and no-one at OnePlus or O2 can confirm if WifiCalling will work or not

My phone is going back to OnePlus as I'm pretty sure the camera is faulty. So hopefully they'll just replace it.

Are the ads intrusive?
Not sure to be honest as I paid for the ad free version ages ago. I don't remember them being intrusive.

The volume is much lower - or at least it sounds like to me.

I've unlocked the bootloader and applied my own zip which overwrites the hosts file. Best method imo; not requiring root and not requiring a VPN / additional resources being used.
The hosts file I apply would be similar to that AdAway uses.
I can post instructions if it'll help, but note that unlocking your bootloader will mean formatting your phone.
Do you use Google pay and banking apps?
By default Netflix goes into pip mode if you press home/swipe middle. By default Netflix goes only into pip mode and blocks multitasking but this can be changed in the developer options by enabling "force activities to be resizable" and rebooting your device.
Netflix will now work in multitasking, it's a bit buggy though. Allows for a bigger picture than default pip.

Ah, I forgot to say... I also use(d) Franco Kernel which allows Google Pay / banking apps to work on the OnePlus 3. Just waiting for it to be released for this phone and I should be able to use those apps again.

That's a good point. I'm not one for chasing technology, so it wouldn't annoy me to much if it came out. Its more that I need a phone now
