**** The Official OnePlus 6 Thread ****

I have the OnePlus 5T get ridiculously good wireless speeds and super fast UI. Having had 5 Samsung devices in the past I do find it hard to believe the 9+ is faster than the OnePlus 6. I'd bet it not being as fast as my 5T.
I've tried the s9+. It's not as fast or fluid as my OP5 let alone 6. And fun fact the screen on my 5 is brighter in manual mode than the manual mode on the S9. This is much more useful to me as I can set max mode when I want not when the software deems it so. That's kinda the theme with Samsung.

I’m thinking there might have been a hardware or software issue with my 1+6, so possibly not fair comparison. But I really hated the rear cover finish on the 1+6 which didn’t help... neither did it only managing 50mbps on WiFi. Whole interface was laggy on 1+6.

Having to put my phone on charge for the first time since I got it on Tuesday. Battery is still at 30% and I've had over 2 days use and 5 1/4 hours SOT.

Anyone with the midnight black version manage to scratch up back of the phone yet? The back of my phone is full of little scratches, I don't use a case.

How about the front, any tiny scratches? I got both a case and tempered glass on but will probably take off case or both as I do not like the bulky feel and cases textures.

Still got the factory screen protector on, waiting on my tempered glass protector to arrive. Also have a Dbrand skin coming in a few days.

Just a bit disappointed the back scratches so easy, as I have been careful and it must have happened in my pocket. Had my Samsung S8 for over a year and there is only 2 small scratches on the back.

After speaking to Oneplus support about the vertical lines in photos they think the camera may be faulty. So the phone is getting exchanged.

I got my 128GB OnePlus 6 yesterday, and I love it, but I'm wondering if it is possible to completely disable password login and only allow the fingerprint scanner to unlock the device? Seems like a bit of a security risk allowing you to fall back to the password.

I have no idea how to use all the features of this phone though. It has been 5 and a half years since I bought a new Android device and everything has changed so much since then.

If anything the security risk is the fingerprint scanner. They're possible to defeat fairly easily compared to having to try and guess a password. Of course, if you have the password, then no need for the original owner...

You can have a pattern as a backup which is faster than typing a password, Well you could on the 5T and that is how I have it on my Pixel 2XL now.

Ah, OK. Well, it was worth a try. It is just such a pain to type in a password. I might switch to a pattern instead for ease of use.

If you have a copy of someone's fingerprint but who has that?
