**** The Official OnePlus 6 Thread ****

Argh damnit I was this close to ordering the OP6. Reckon the price will go down when they launch the 6T. Assuming I'd have to be quick before the 6 disappears?
They never really reduce the price tbh, they just run the stocks of the existing model down, then bring the new one out :)

Got the new update last night for the OnePlus 6. Nice to see that they have made the Wifi connection a bit more stable. Still looking forward to seeing the Android Pie update being released and I'm glad to see that older OnePlus phones are going to get the update. That makes it look like the OnePlus 6 will also get the next version of Android as well so hopefully, this phone will last me a good few years before I need to upgrade.

Really looking forward to the 6T. Rumours are a teardrop notch and an even smaller chin (like the oppo r17). To be fair, I think it will have some extra features to warrant the six monthly refresh cycle.

I was close to ordering a Note 9, but with the 6T and the new iPhones due in the next few weeks I think I might see it out for a while longer yet.

If they can put stereo speakers and a better camera on the 6T I’m tempted already!

Have a Note 9 on pre-order but received a OnePlus 6 from work yesterday.

After only using the phone for a few hours I'm keeping this as my main phone and will give the Note 9 to the wife.

I have mostly owned Galaxy Notes with the odd Xperia. What I love about setting up the OP6 is the lack of duplicate apps. There are only Google apps with a couple OnePlus apps which can be unistalled.

Setting up the Xperia and Galaxy was always confusing as you have to decide which app to make the default for almost every task and the ones you know you'll never use can't be removed. So you need to use a 3rd party launcher to hide apps on the app draw or disable.

I don't take many pics and never found a use for the S-pen. Just wanted a large Amoled display with good performance and for that the OP6 is the perfect device for me.

Not very hopeful for OP6T, I expect a larger battery with Oppo's new charging technology but otherwise it will just be the same old.

What would I want? HDR display? Stereo speakers? 1440p display? useful secondary camera? No chance.

Waterproofing and wireless charging I don't need.

Personally they should just release a OP6T that is exactly the same just slightly smaller. The amount of people that think a 6" tall phone is too big, they'd get loads more customers.

I just want a microSD card slot.

try the note its so much better than the op6 only thing op6 is better at will be updates had my n9 since friday far superior phone

AOD and wireless charging are the only things I'm missing.

Stereo speakers? Got used to note having them on previous Samsung phones and when I did have them on the Nexus 6 and Xperia devices didn't think they made much difference. Same with my brief test on the Note 9. Will stick to BT headphones.

OP6 AMOLED screen is good enough for what I need it to do. I use a black and white theme on the launcher etc and videos look just as good in YouTube and Plex. Side by side the Note 9 will probably look better.

Wasn't too worried about the notch and honestly after using this after a few days I don't know what the fuss is about. It blends in to the notification bar and when playing video full screen you lose no more screen than with the Note's bezels.

I could take the Note 9 back anytime but I really don't miss it.
