**** The Official OnePlus 7/OnePlus 7 Pro Thread ****

Just opened my blue OP7 and had a quick play. Screen is incredible and the blue colour is way better in person. I've not even set it up yet so I'll post my impressions later on.

Size isn't that bad and I quite like the weight. It's very similar to my mate 10 pro.

Interesting, i just want to know how long screen on time is with the op7 from prehaps 100% battery to 5% battery non stop use and or whatever really anyways in that sense i am being nosy so i hope that is okay with you folks.

Reason is because battery life is number one thing i look in a phone.

Okay 26% in above picture, for me with a moto g7 power i get over a day with last full charge and 9-10 hour on screen time and the battery is at around about 25-30%.

Okay i have found it, picture below.

I know with the moto g7 power i get 8-9 hours with heavy usage but the oneplus according to link and picture above about half that or a bit more at 4 to 5 hours.

Or 14 to 15 hours of moderate use with the moto g7 power for me here regarding on screen time, always on that is with the screen.

There are various things that affect battery life like processor and all of that but yeah, for people who use the phone all the time with heavy usage well yeah.

Anyways for people who own this phone the battery will last enough for them i think but not for me as i am a hardcore usage addict.

Either way if oneplus comes with a phone all about the battery life i would be interested.

Either way i am glad people like this phone and i think it is a nice phone but the battery life kinda let's it down but for most people this phone will have enough battery juice to last 1 day or more.

Realistically people here would use the phone from time to time so yea should give you 7 to 9 hours or 12 hours of battery time which is plenty of time (more than enough time) if you catch what i am saying in 1 day that is.

Dan.

Great video as always mate!

Thanks :)

Is the OnePlus 7 Pro going to replace your Mate 20 Pro?

Right now, I'm not entirely sure. I think it will, but I'm not totally decided. There are those few apps that are a bit more of a pain to move and only only like on your main phone (like banking and some Two Factor Auth apps) and they've not moved... yet.

It is nice being on a more stock software experience again. Right now I really miss wireless charging and an AOD... :( (And maybe the face unlock, as that's just so quick on the M20Pro)

@lltfdaniel

I destroy phone batteries daily and I'll soon test out my OP7. I leave brightness on auto, WiFi always on, GPS, nfc, location and Bluetooth streaming literally all day to my work radio.

My mate 10 pro usually manages around 5hrs max screen on time. To be honest though, fast charging is so good nowadays it nearly makes huge endurance phones a bit pointless. Unless you're a tech blogger at events or hiking etc then "in my opinion" 4hrs screen on for most people is more than enough.

I've got nothing to hide though so I'll report my battery longevity after the battery has bedded in a bit.

@hardkore

That is cool man, i look forward to your report about battery longevity.

Anyways for me with the battery not bedded in because the battery is new, i got 14 hours and 9 mins on screen time on my moto g7 power from 100% to 15% battery life and the app most used was youtube, wifi was on bluetooth off does not have nfc brightness is auto on mine, gps on.

Dan.

edit if you think i am making the 14 hr and 9 min up i'm not.

In all honesty, you will struggle to find any flagship that can match these midrange SoC, 5000mAh phones for battery life.

Well for me these mid range phones are fast enough so for me it is satisfactory, okay it won't be the fastest in like loading times and all that but everyone here has their preferences.

Shame they ought to come out with a flagship with a killer battery life like with what i get with my moto.

Thanks :)

Doesn't the OP7 Pro AOD have 3rd party notifications?

No offense but your g7 is missing so much of what the OP7 you can't even compare them.

The fact it doesn't even have NFC is a deal breaker. I never use my wallet anymore unless I need ID for parcels.

15 minutes on a charge will keep me going for another 2-3 hours easy. Hence why I don't really need a hulking great big battery with a midrange SoC.

It's fine no offence taken, i know it is me saying how to suck eggs i must admit.

Okay 15 minutes of charge gives you 2-3 hours, but with this big battery 15 minutes gives more hours then that and motorola them selves claims it gives upto 9 hours of charge.

So i think around about the same as what you get or maybe a little bit more time which is extremely likely with this phone.

Yes they claim 9 hours in picture below,

For me this phone does everything i need it too, i only listen to youtube surf the web check gmail, play a game, check the news all those basic things.

All in all your not after an endurance phone ok, but for me and other people it is a must.

This midrange phone well i hardly notice the difference between this and let's say a htc u11 or a nokia 8 with how quick this phone can be that is and i own a htc u11 and nokia 8.

Anyways rant over here as well.

All in all your correct i do recommend this phone from the bottom of my heart, and yes you should have a endurance phone, if you don't i buy you one because the battery is quite impressive and if you destroy battery's then give this phone a go.

Also with the battery the phone is not a brick, it is slim.

Anyways if you don't want the phone i will buy you one, and i bet you will be reaching for it, if your away from the power socket all the time, it is great because of this, just let me know if you want to accept my offer or not.

The best thing is, if you destory batterys it is a more of a win win situation because this is a budget smartphone and is no biggy because it cost's less to buy plus you can't replace the battery so correct me if wrong about replacing the battery because i don't think so.

:).
