The official Philips BDM4065UC thread

Gibbo, can we have a special offer now and get this monitor for £500? :)

I have my money ready!

Sheeeeeesh.... Just pay the extra £30 and be done mate... It's just £30... You can afford £500 but another £30 is impossible to find???

I bought mine when it was £600...

I was saving hard and dont have that extra £30...
Thing is I found it for £500 on other shop site, but would rather to buy it from my favourite shop.

After trawling through this thread this pic has answered my question....No way could I live with gloss like this...

I don't have that reflection problem with mine...
Of course I haven't set it up ridiculously with a light streaming window in the background like that...

The 4k 16:9 dwarfs the 1440p UW and has much more real estate.
And was nearly half the price...

I barely use the UW now to be honest... 4K is where its at for me now-days ;)

I understand as I wasn't gifted mine mate...
Saving 530 though is about as hard as saving 500 from my experience...

My point is....

Don't miss out on experiencing this incredible monitor for the sake of having to save another 30 knicker IMO ;)

Guys - any help at 2650x1440? My GPU cant handle 4K so downsclaing till I upgrade - am running on AMD CCC option "GPU scaler" but the font does not look the crispest (using Windows 10).

make sure scaling is set to 100% in windows. beyond that, nothing you can do - it's never going to be very sharp when you are trying to scale text.

Anyone in SW london or south london or even close by there that has the BDM4065UC open to having myself take a look at the monitor before I decide to purchase?

Basically want to compare the screen glossyness to my 404k which uses the same screen but maybe not the same coating.
