can resist since you need about £1,600 worth of graphics card to game at 4k

No way. If 60 fps is not a must for you, even a single 980 is doing a good job at 4k. In case it does'nt, go for custom res 21:9 i.e. 3840x1620, which makes a 38 inch 21:9 screen. With that I even play The Witcher 3 and GTA5 at max settings at 30 fps. Looks truely stunning on this monitor.

Only thing holding me back is the lack of Gsync, at lower FPS I want to see as many frames as possible and as clear as possible!

Seen this monitor now close up and it's ******* stunning

G-Sync and FreeSync at lower fps (<30-40) doesn't really help at the moment as most current supporting monitors have a minimum frame rate of around 40 fps, below which it doesn't work or actually makes things worse/more jerky.

As that's the kind of fps range you're likely to get with all but the most expensive of single cards running 4K it's a bit pointless for most at the moment.

Hopefully next-gen cards and monitors will increase the fps and reduce the min frame rate respectively, without costing the earth.

Stunning display just playing with mine now what are the best W7 settings?

150% Text
200% IE

Anyone using this on W7 still? Also what about phillips Smart Control is it worth installing or not really?

Think I'm going to pull the trigger on this... was waiting around for a possible 4k freesync in this size, but sounds like that would be a unicorn at this point.

Hopefully it arrives by Wednesday :D
