The official Philips BDM4065UC thread

Ah right..I guess once 4k blu rays come out we'll be able to get them other ways rather than streaming.

I guess it's not a big deal at the moment since I have 4mb internet so wouldn't be able to stream any 4k anyway lol

whats the latest on 4k blu rays , is it going to happen ?

How is this screen with Cs go @ 4k? Lag? Or smooth as butter? Gtx 970. I have a dell ips at the moment which I play Cs go on and it's fine for my eyes...

Sorry your having such troubles mate! :(

Not sure what is causing that to be honest?
How are you connecting? Whats your settings?
Resolution set via AMD catalyst or Nvidia control panel?

I'm running via display port cable connection, Nvidia control panel setting as (PC) native 3840x2160 resolution 60hz and the monitor has been changed from default Displayport mode 1.1 to 1.2... (to get the 60hz obviously)

Don't know if anything in this would help?...

Woohoo fixed it. Was an error 43 problem and just had to remove Lucid VIRTU MVP

Hey everyone!

I got myself one of these Philips 40 inch and I am having a bit of an issue with it.

It seems that when there is white and grey on the screen together there appears to be a yellow tint going up and down from the white bit, here is a photo of how it looks - http://take.ms/uqpQy, close-up http://take.ms/J8rno.

Any ideas on what this might be? Surely it's not normal?

OMG! How good is this screen?!?!

Saw the £529.99 'this week' deal... just couldn't resist... it arrived today :)

Windows at 3840x2160@60Hz is fantastic! So much room!

I've tried a handful of games... the downscaling to 1080 and 1440 is very good (IMHO) and, having seen a variety of opinions, I'm very, very happy with how the PS4 looks on it!

My 2y old GTX 760 won't be able to run much at native resolution, although Diablo 3 ran fine with no apparent slowdowns, much to my surprise. If I put Dying Light up to 3840 then it switched to seconds-per-frame! However, Dying Light at 1080 looks amazing on this screen!

If you were in 2 minds about it, grab one before this week's offers end!

One thing... the manual says that...
You can adjust “power on” light using the power LED Setup in OSD main Controls.
which I'm hoping means you can tone down the blinding LED next to the Phlips label on the bottom of the screen... however, I can't see anything in the menus... can anyone point me to where they mean?

On some Philips models you can disable the power LED, if I recall correctly. But not on this one. Probably just some lazy copy and pasting in the manual from a different model. Or they forgot to include the option. ;)

One problem I've found with this monitor is when playing Ark Survival evolved at night time the night is BLACK, it's like staring into a black hole whilst still hearing all the predators nearby, terrifying for a newbie!

Note: 3 months on and still love the monitor, first purchase in years where I haven't had any second thoughts or regrets.

I found it far far far too slow myself, and I never thought I could even spot the difference on such things.

Got rid of it in the end because of it.

Ahhh yeah...
That's because it's never been pushed as a "competitive gaming" monitor?

You want that sort of thing then stick with 144/120hz 1080p@1ms response times...

This monitor is for stunning, beautiful and lush looking 4k casual gaming @60hz which it does exactly as it says on the tin... ;)
