*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

thanks for that Mark, basically:

Bro's console - I need to activate this is my Primary PS4 then all sub accounts can access my games and use PS plus to go online.

My Console - I need to use my account as a sub account or main account but do not activate as my primary console, only my account can then use online and have access to my games.

This way both can play online at the same time and on the same games but only one account on my console can do this whereas all the accounts on bro's can.

All of this is possible with 1 psn plus sub and buying games digitally instead of 2 discs. So should work out to a saving of £20 a year plus say £20-£40 per game.

Bare in mind you can buy PSN credit for cheap and use that for games.

I think I will have to delete the credit card on my account and the password on his console so there is no chance of him buying something by mistake, etc.

Someone may find this info useful if they wish to do the same with a mate who has a PS4 ;)

Defo worth buddying up with someone for games.

I know on my PS3 which I have loaned to my dad for a while, I created his own PS account but still have mine on the machine and he can play all my PS+ games on his account fine, is the PS4 not the same?

Just didn't want him popping trophies on my account :)

Guys what is the general consensus on the PS Camera, how does it compare with Xbox 360 version of Kinect?

My OH loved the dancing stuff on 360 so was going to grab her the camera and just dance 2014.

any good or leave it?

I wouldnt bother until its very cheap or theres more than 1 game for it - I only own one because it was effectively free - luckily voice commands arent software restricted to the Camera but work over headset mic...

Still it is convenient if you don't use a head set (or have to go looking for it first). I use the voice commands to launch games/Blu Rays. I'm looking forward to when its feature set is expanded and I can play and pause films, that will be a handy feature for toilet breaks/phone calls etc. Game wise there isn't much out there, Playroom is a fun party piece though, Tomb Raider is hit or miss with voice commands. No doubt a lot of multi-platform games will use it in the future.

they changed the rules for PS4, still possible to share an account, but the actual owner of the account gets less from the deal compared to the guy who is sharing it.

i'm doing it because it's essentially going to mean half price psn plus as well as savings on games.

that negates the downside of the system now, i explained it all in detail a few posts back.

Thanks guys I'll prob pick one up as OH wants Just Dance 2014 to shake her tail feather too!

Just finished Assassins Creed 4 (My first AC game!), great storyline with a great main character, but the controls are horrifically laggy! Not going to bother with the DLC, will just watch it on Youtube.

Have you tried this yet? Im trying with a mate and not having much luck at the mo.

Bit the bullet and ordered my PS4 today. Having previously been an 360 owner I'm looking forward to the change, thankfully the DS4 pads look much more usable, I never use to like the layout on the old PS3 (or older) controllers.

Any pro tips on must have extras?

Should you be able to download on the PS4 while it's in suspended mode? Bought outlast on the web store, the ps4 was in standby but after coming home it didn't even start downloading.

Have they not switched the feature on yet or am I being a tad bit simple?

Did you move it to the Download Queue after buying it on the web store? And is standby mode in settings on the PS4 set to connect to the internet (I think it's that?) It should then download while in standby... should being the key word xD
I've only downloaded during standby with downloads that started while it was fully on, but I'd imagine it'd work the same :\, seems silly if not.

Ah, no problem! Make sure the PS4 can also connect to the internet in standby mode (think it's in power saving settings) and should be good to go :)

Yeah mine was already installed when I got home - just needed to download the update when I switched my PS4 on
