Im so needing some new games for this lol. Havent touched my ps4 at all this year apart from watching some streams of tomb raider and outlast yesterday.
 
PS4 Hardware -> 4.2 million as of December 28, 2013

PS4 Software -> 9.7 million copies sold in retail stores and through digital downloads on PlayStation Store

XBO Hardware -> Over 3 million XBO consoles were sold to consumers before the end of 2013

Sony is also selling off their PC business and spinning off their TV business into its own company.
 
Still haven't got my BF4 Disk just sent an email asking for a psn voucher so I can buy it on the psn. Better not get ignored again....

Same here. Really happy with the console, but other than the odd weekend evening on BF4 I haven't used it at all.
And on top of that, Dark Souls 2 comes out in 5 weeks so no matter what was out on the PS4 it wouldn't get a look in for a while anyway.

Lots of interesting things on the horizon, just waiting on them to come out to get stuck in. Think the 1st confirmed release date for a PS4 game I currently want is September 2014. So really hoping something else comes out before then.
If not, Dark Souls 2 is a game i'll be playing for 2-3 years so i'm not fussed as that can always occupy my gaming fix with BF4 when mates are on.



Also, I STILL need to get my PS4 exchanged due to a fault but Amazon still haven't got any stock in. I could get a full refund and buy elsewhere but I bought the Gamer Pack and have sold Killzone as it was rubbish so not sure I can send it back unless I re-bought that. May just have to wait it out but people keep buying up the stock on pre-order so the date keeps getting pushed back.

Maybe I can get it in writing via e-mail from Amazon that if I pre-order one now then they will refund me once I get it and send my current one back in.
 
The only really decent release before September is Second Son. My PS3 is getting a lot of love lately with decent PS+ releases and great offers on PSN. Also FFX/X-2 HD, Lightning Returns and Dark Souls 2 still to come!
 
Is there anything good coming out within the next 3 or 4 months?

I've put the purchase of the PS4 on hold as my PS3 still gets a decent level of attention. I'm currently playing Tekken Tag, GT6 and GTA (and a few others).

Are we to expect any decent fighting, action or driving within the next few months?

Edit - just read some of your posts. .. looks like I'll wait a little longer.

Yeah unless you wanted to play one of the multi plat titles on the PS4 specifically then the only game for 6 months or so seems to be Infamous. End of the year things will be coming out regularly from then on but until then, it's not worth it really.

I bought it because me and my mates prefer to play Battlefield on console as some don't have gaming PCs etc so I bought it for that alone for the first 12 months. If BF4 wasn't out, I'd have waited until Mid 2014 most likely

Some good games there: DriveClub, WatchDogs, Infamous, Minecraft, Theif, Elder Scrolls Online, Planetside 2.

Although I must admit there is no 'AAA' or 'System Seller' games listed for that period.

Also Playstation Plus games appear to be announced close to release (Don't Starve and Outlast seemed to be announced a few months before release?)
 
I'm not into racing games, but I am hoping all of my mates can agree to buy DriveClub because what I do find appealing is a racing game we can all play with and against each other in.

If at least 2-3 of them don't buy it then I won't be getting it because I'd only find it fun racing against people I know. Fingers crossed as it looks really nice!


In fact, the playing with mates thing is pretty much 90% of the criteria for whether or not I buy a game now. Other than something truly outstanding single player wise like Dark Souls 2 is going to convince me to buy it to play alone.
My entire focus for this generation of consoles is large worlds to jump into with mates to just have a laugh.



On a side note - I HOPE HOPE HOPE they get out a Destruction Derby game for the PS4. I've seen the tech demo that's been made and the damage on that the car on that looks immense and the possibilities are ripe for an amazing online and social experience.
Instead of the old classic teams/drivers like 'scum' 'pyromaniac' etc - it fits well to use your own PSN ID and custom team colours etc. Friends could join 1 team to competre online or fight each other in arena battles.
My mouth waters at the prospect of that being done right. One can only hope
 
I think its gonna be PGR meets Autolog - for some annoyingly social - Ive found the HUD a bit too busy in some videos...

Played Outlast last night. Only played 10 minutes before it made me jump and I decided to go to bed. I don't like those sorts of shocks before sleeping!

did you de-activate your console?

if not then you may have to go to the sony device website and de-activate all devices for that account.

you then log in to your mates console first as the "main account" and activate his as the primary PS4 for that account (your account).

you then make another account or use his account as your "main account" and then use your account as a sub account.

try initialising both consoles and doing it the above way.

i've not tried it yet, not got hold of a console, places that are selling the console on it's own sell out incredibly fast. can only find bundles with games we don't want.

tell them you want to speak to their boss next time you phone them.

they lost my ds4 controller when i sent mine back due to rubber peel/splitting issue.

i escalated it and they posted out a brand new one within an hour.

luckily i had sent it recorded delivery to prove i posted it to them and i had cellotaped the reference number to the controller as well as all my details on the package itself.

i'm going to just buy some thumb sticks and repair controllers myself from now on.

drive club is going to be released for free to psn plus members.

it won't be the full game but a lite version though, and i imagine unlocking the full game will cost a few quid extra.

i probably won't play to get the full version unless i really like the lite version.

I want to see a fuller statement about no MP - was kinda hoping for Online co-op myself. Resistance 2 was worth its weight in gold cos of its co-op mode...

RAD seem to know what they want to do at least, a decent SP game is always welcome :), hate when some **** MP is tacked on (hello TR)
