Just registered for the Rainbow six Siege Beta and seems im put on a waiting list. Wouldnt mind playing the Beta to this.

Oh God not the static brigade......

It's laid out for a photo and is mine so not overly bothered. Also I have been working with electronics for 20 years without any problems so I must do something right........

I'm glad I don't work there too...

It's not how I work with electronics it's how it's laid out for a photo. The board is not touching the carpet.

How was your thermal paste on the chip?

And is it any quieter since you put it back together?

Mine was pretty bad and yeah it's slightly better noise wise..

I did manage to snap my fan connector though have performed a temp fix that seems to be holding up fine, but could do with replacing fan at some point.

The stock paste application was awful tbh lots of bubbles over the chip. It's not a lot quiter but the fan does seem to spin up less than it did before.

Clean it out and re-apply the thermal paste.....

Has anyone had to return a DS4 to Sony? Do they issue a replacement when they pick yours up or will I have to wait a while without a controller?

Anybody else been having issues after coming out of standby mode? A couple of times I've had no sound but the most common is that if if I put a new disc in and try to play the game it says "wrong disc inserted", resulting in me having to power down my PS4. This has happened even if I haven't been playing a game before so my PS4 wasn't in the suspend/resume mode.
