That's the bottom.

Good point :) let try the other top...

I think if I was in the market for a PS4 I'd be buying one right now before those are all that's available. Looks okay but much prefer the design of the current model.

Agree, I prefer the older PS4 myself, its not ugly, just IMO not as nice looking as the older PS4.

Odd really, the PS3 slim improved on the PHAT PS3 before the ultra slim sliding tray version which IMO was horrendous looking.

This new PS4 slim if it is true looks a tad cheap, the older one looks better, but I think this is now going to be the entry level Playstation and the PS4.5 as that is what I bet they name it will be the next tier up.

Just hope the NEO looks more like a current PS4 and not the newer not yet confirmed slimmer PS4.

Why in this day and age are people just posting photos. It's so easy to snap a few seconds of video of it being unboxed or plugged in and switched on, etc.

These comparison photos show it isn't actually that much smaller than the original.

Is it confirmed no optical? Maybe it's tucked away behind a panel.
Other than the pics I doubt we will get anything til Sony announce it in 2weeks-ish. As a rough estimate it seems to be over 25% smaller by volume
I bet something like 0.001% of the PS4 user base use that optical port. :p (Completely unscientific guess of course.)
Theres a lot of us that still use non-HDMI sound systems - also as anti said, the mixamp requires an optical out. We are the level above the people that think TV speakers are ok :p

The whole middle bit (well above it) has a long led strip across the front that scrolls left to right like KITT, uses the same colours from the PS4

I need optical. Only way your getting a Dolby Digital headset working.

Streamers won't be happy with this change, that's for sure.

Have to see what the PS4 Neo is about.

I expect the Slim model will be to differentiate it from the base Neo which will have a design like the other unit. Like they are phasing out the ps4 as we know it.
