*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

i didn't say it'd be full up right away did i? But things like all those PS+ games etc...just nice to dip you toes into now and then. I just like the idea of not having to keep deleting stuff and given that 5tb drives are about 100 quid, that seems a good price per tb to achieve that wish.

I get you but I have over 20 and my 2tb (1.7gtb) is nowhere near. Sure it future proofs you but I'd be very surprised if you filled it ever with ps4 games. Especially as most plus ones are indie.

I wonder if it does/will let you move games between internal and external storage. A modest-sized SSD could be a somewhat more appealing proposition as an internal drive in that case.

Although 4.5 adds external storage, I decided to go the Firecuda route. I don't need to keep everything installed. I'm on a fast internet connection, so deleting things and re-installing is not a problem.
I also very much prefer everything internal. No external boxes, just everything contained in the PS4.

That works all right until PSN has one of its funny half hours when speeds slow to a crawl.

Sure - but I've still got up to 1.7TB of games stored locally that I can play whilst I'm waiting for something to re-download. However the chances are, if I've removed something I'm probably not going back to it.

Plan to get a PS4 pro soon, just wondering if there is a correct procedure to follow for when I sell my launch PS4.

I need to put my original 500gb drive back in so unsure what I should do first.

should I replace the hdd first before I go about un-linking my console from my account?

Thanks

I've just seen something about a new Assassin's Creed in Egypt which made me realise that I haven't played any of the AC games on PS4 yet.

We've had The Ezio Collection, Black Flag, Unity and Syndicate IIRC. Are any of them worth picking up and playing?

Syndicate is fantastic. Loads of different mission types, they've made getting round the map less of a chore and London looks amazing. The game and season pass keep dropping on sale on PSN, so it might be worth hanging on - Easter isn't that far away

Just a heads up. Apparently a 4K pro patch is now live for the division!(1.6) And possibly downsampling at 1080!

Edit. Maybe I should have posted this in the pro thread. Oops. My mistake !

I'll put this in the console deals thread as well but if you spend £50 in march on the PSN store you get a £10 wallet voucher free in april. It doesn't have to be in one transaction either. Don't forget CDKeys do cheap credit for even more savings.

John Lewis/Argos have a cracking deal on at the moment.

I just got PS4 Slim + Horizon Zero Dawn + Extra Controller for £199. I was going to buy a refurb from Tesco for £190. Glad I checked Hotukdeals.
