Does installing the PS4 Remote Play app on your PC also install a system wide DualShock 4 driver does anyone know? I guess this still might not work with all games on all platforms (Uplay, Origin, etc.) because it's probably not Xinput. I know there's the DS4Windows as mentioned above but I don't like installing third party things like that.

Can anyone recommend any good games for children? My girls like to play on the PS4 at weekends, with the eldest being 11 and the youngest 3, is there anything out there that they can all engage in and the youngest not get easily bored by?

Old but fun (and cheap now) that always gets my recommendation is Rayman. Engaging, multiplayer, musical and some puzzle solving. You can probably pick it up £5

Do you leave a disc in the drive when you switch off? Only thing I can think of that would make that kind of noise when switched on.
Never thought of that, I'll take a disc out and see. It can be Uber loud when reading discs but it does settle which is fine
