I had this more so with the Steam Deck.

I then took my pc to work to use there for CAD/CAM As it was just sat here doing nothing!

PS5 and a handheld is ideal for my tastes these days.

Same for me I have a laptop for the occasional game of Civ and AOE but sold all my PC gear years ago and have been more than happy with consoles.

Ditto. My PC got relegated to my mums house, should I need it there whilst I'm over.

I bought a M2 Mac Mini to replace that as I was sick of Windows and haven't remotely regretted ditching it. PS5 for gaming all the way.

Looks awful. I'm one of the few that the looks of the PS5 has seriously grown on me and since I changed the face plates to black I think it looks great and means business. It looks like this now

Seems that picture of the "slim" is legitimate or a very well done hoax. If it's real i'm glad i've got my fat model as i hate shiny plastic.

That drive detachable?

Could be that's a main production replacement and there's an unseen slim coming too. 5cm shorter doesn't really constitute 'slim'.

Maybe, maybe not.

It's been suggested that whole panel comes off below the seam. And if you buy the optional user replaceable optical drive and attach it you have a console you see in the video. By default it would just be a blank panel.

I guess the technology is not there yet that they can shrink it that much. They won't produce a 'slim' and 'fat' at the same time as it would be doing the exact opposite of what they want to do i.e simplify production and logistics to reduce costs.

I finally cleaned the inside of my ps5 today. I've had mine since a month after launch and was amazed how dirty it was inside. I literally just took the side panels off and used the vacuum hose inside and then wiped down with a microfiber cloth. It looked like new again by the time I'd done. I will leave taking the fan out for now as I couldn't find my torx screwdriver set but they didn't look too bad.

I tested the ps5 straight afterwards and it booted silently with no problem. I think I might start doing this every 6 months from now on.

I did mine last year and yeah there was a lot of collected dust in there. I took the fan off as well and gave it a clean. Need to give it another go soon.

I played a little and tweaked the settings but the FOV is giving me a headache. Shame as it looked solid.
Yeah I thought FoV was bit low myself too, I know I had bad headache yesterday but just put it down to playing to close to my LG CX, can't wait to get smaller C3

Did you make sure blow out the PSU at the bottom? The inlet holes can get clogged.
