The Official Prometheus (Alien Prequel) Thread

I pretty much always go to the cinema on my own, mainly because I often go on the spur of the moment as its in the shopping centre which is 10 minutes walk from me. I shall be seeing this film on my own on Friday, looking forward to it.

I used to live across the road from a cinema and would often go on my own during the daytime.

I am thinking of going to a midnight showing tonight. My wife doesn't want to see it and the cinema is only down the road.

Exactly the same as me, I used to feel odd going to the cinema by myself but the misses hates anything to do with scifi, guns, zombies or gore so Im used to going to the cinema alone......sniff......sob...... oh hell, who am I kidding, Im so hyped up to see this tonight!

going to watch this in 3d tonight

never seen a movie in 3d before, what are the glasses like? Do i get to keep them? For £9odd I'd expect so.

Also I wear glasses, is this going to be a problem?

Booked for tomorrow evening. Thankfully got it booked in 2D. Can't wait!

Some of these prices make my eyes water. Costs £4.60 for 3D or 2D here for a student and £6 odd for anyone else (3D doesn't cost extra).

Only about £1 of the ticket goes towards the glasses. :)

You'll have no problem with your existing glasses, they'll fit over them.

Also what a fantastic movie to break your 3D cherry :D

It's £10.50 per person at my local Vue!!

Why 2D? Are you just not a fan of 3D?

Don't like it really and don't find it adds anything. Picture becomes too dull as well compared to 2D.

Watching Avatar gave me headaches after awhile too. My glasses are chunkyish around the edges, so its hard to get the 3D glasses to sit well.

Best part of £30 quid for two seats at my local, though that is VIP as I felt flush at the time of booking :)

Seriously though, it really annoys me all this booking fee lark, I notice that cineworld now offers a discount for booking online, which is the way it should always have been in my eyes.

Got six tickets to watch this tomorrow night (six of us going btw :p) in the Dunfermline Odeon - this wouldn't normally be my choice of cinemas but it is our closest. It is also going to be my first ever experience of 3D in the cinema - expect a write up soon enough peeps :)

Given this has been, what -30odd years in the making it should (hopefully) be ******* Epic

7/10

Well done, but didn't quite live up to my expectations. It created more questions than it answered, and I'm pretty sure it's left open for a sequel.

My views are pretty much the same 7/10.

Watched alien this eve for the first time in 10 and that film is still perfection!
