I don't think it would have been realistic to expect either team to roll over the other, there was always going to be an element of trying to neutralise the other sides strengths rather than running over the top of them. I thought it was quite good to watch because it was so close, I don't think I ever felt South Africa would score a try but they put New Zealand under so much pressure that the penalty count was huge, particularly in the first half. And Dan Carter's drop goal was outstanding, there don't seem to have been many this World Cup but it was executed brilliantly.
