****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

I'm feeling very impatient. T-Mobile said they can offer the following upgrade deal: 900mins, unlimited texts, unlimited web, and S2 is free. This will cost me £30, but the downside is I have to wait till early June for them to release the S2.

Alternatively, I could try and go with O2 and see if they can match the deal as I could get the phone sooner. My only worry is if they don't have as good network coverage, but I don't really know much about O2.

What do you guys think I should do?
 
Just a warning, T-Mobile never offer 'unlimited data'. In their contracts it states a fair use policy of 500mb/month, so don't let the promise of unlimited data win it over other tarrifs which are honest about their monthly limits.

The phone is very good, can't seem to slow it down at all. Internet browsing is insanely fast. Camera is nice.

It's so good my girlfriend, a devout Apple fan, thinks its very good and considering getting one.

Where did you go to pick one up sim free . Ive been calling up everywhere and poping into phone shops but no luck at all . Ended up just ordering one of O2 site. Now i got the long Wait:mad:

Right, got a pretty good deal.

O2
500 mins
unlimited texts
100mb data
£50 phone

£24 pcm

I may upgrade the data in the future but that can be done anytime, if i wanted to go down i would have to wait a year.

Not to shabby, should be with me tomorrow/wednesday.

Currently on O2 Simplicity @ £20 pcm with 600 mins etc, so £96 extra over 2 years, plus £50 divided over 24 months is £6pcm extra for the phone.

Well bit the bullet for £25*24 and £220 upfront - 2000 mins, 5000 texts, unlimited data.

Edit: Checkout finally worked :D

A little buyers remorse at the moment because a couple of games are Tegra 2 only I think.

Possibly the only downside I've come across. Everything else is sweet :cool:

*edit* a little moaning on o2 chat to customer services and they'll refund me when I contact them after receiving the phone. Only a couple of quid but it's principle :)

I have had this from O2 before, Can someone correct me if I'm wrong. The way I figured it out in my head was no matter when you buy your phone/contract in the month they will charge you for the full month, even if not correct. This is so in future months your bill is inline with calandar months and their billing run. Very naughty and they only fix if prompted.
 
Just wondering has anyone who placed an order through Phones4U recieved their handset yet?

Looking to order one of these today, best price (for me - 600 mins, 500 Texts, UL data) I've found is £24.85 through the above, or £26.37 via Buymobilephones (24 month contracts).

You know what it's like when you order something new...you just don't want to have to wait for it (especially as I have a Nokia 5800 :p )

Yes, people have received them from Phones4U. Mine will be here on Wednesday from them.

They have stock at the moment I believe.
 
Well here's hoping Voda start selling on Tuesday. i cannot see the point of having it on the voda site for all this time and not having any for sale.
They would have been better off leaving it off the site untill a few weeks before they sell it.
 
Anyone managed to get this phone unlocked in the south east/london? and if you did... where? Been phoning everywhere but nowhere has it yet.

Or what about any sites that sell it unlocked?
 
Ordered on 1/5 from O2 and the order is now showing as complete (with DHL tracking code) though the O2 site seems to be having some troubles at the moment.

To those who already have an O2 account, should I be able to see both my existing PAYG account and new Pay Monthly under the My O2 login? Yesterday I could see my PAYG but today I can only see the Pay Monthly.
