****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

OK, so I tried to order and after the Secured by Visa screen it said the transaction was unsuccessful. What should I do now? The fact I am using Chrome anything to do with it or do I just try a second time? Very frustrating.

Your bank/credit card company have probably refused the transaction.

I had this with Barclaycard the first time I ordered through O2. Within 30 seconds I had an automated call from the Barclaycard Fraud line asking if I had made several recent transactions.

After I had finished going through the list (3 or 4 transactions) it said to wait 5 minutes and try the transaction again OR check with the retailer. I still had the O2 page open throughout (kept the site active by clicking through the shop) so I went to checkout again and it accepted the transaction the second time round.

for less than £100 - Orange San Francisco has a much better screen and resolution and great modding community to make the phone even better.

there's an ocuk thread here - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18189628

I think the Orange San Francisco is still considered the best Android phone for that price point. If you replace the firmware with custom it's a pretty damn good phone for £100.

okay cheers, I'll check it out.

the arrows will flash if the mobile data connection is actually being used - when using the web browser/youtube and when apps are syncing for example.

Download 'speedtest' app to see what 3g/H speeds you are getting - 1Mbps+ should stream ok.

And no GPS would be better left off unless you really need it for example navigation.

Thanks mate ive dl that app and got

download 817kbps
uploads 1636kbps

the results do fluctuate in signal but i live in the country what should be a fair speed around town?

Thanks
Tom

o2 are going to get a call from me tomorrow. Ordered the phone last Wednesday and was told I'd have my phone Thursday. Didn't during the day so I logged on to my o2 account and couldn't find any reference of the order, so I phoned them up and was told that when I placed the order they were out of stock and my phone would be dispatched the next day (Friday).

On Friday I log on to my o2 account to see that according to them, the phone was dispatched the day before via DHL's next day delivery service. Decided to track my order, only to find the consignment reference attributed to my order was not recognised by DHL's website.

Today, I decide to check my e-mail and see that o2 are already charging me as despite not having the phone, my contract began on the date they thought I should have received it.

Not overly impressed so far having left T-Mobile to come across. T-Mob had been flawless but due to a lack of signal within my house I decided to leave and o2 were the cheapest option for the package I wanted. Given my hero is on it's last legs I could have used something that actually works this weekend.

Got an annoying problem when changing my wallpaper.

When I change the main wallpaper its also changing my lock screen wallpaper which I dont want it to do, anyway to disable this?

I already have a contract with Orange (which has concluded and I've allowed to roll over), if I order a Galaxy from mobiles.co.uk on Orange, what happens with my current contract? What happens with my current number? I'd want to keep the number I have.

I was also getting charged before I got it. I went onto my o2 account and an option to chat to customer rep popped up. Few minutes explaining and they refunded me £6 for the 4 days they charged me, on a £13.50 contract. Not bad!

Not really noticed although my ringtones are neutral by default.

This is default behaviour though!

I saw a popup though that asked if I wanted to change my lock screen wall paper when I changed my main wallpaper but I can't see it anymore.
