****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

32GB for £600, not too bad but fairly steep. I'm still not sure Samsung can compete directly with the iPhone.

Still, £35 over 24months should be fine (assuming that is correct).

Hang on... £590.00 (£708.00 Including Value Added Tax (VAT))

They wont sell it for that much, no way.

Samsung haven't started production of the new SoC yet... let alone the actual phone :D
You've got to admire the pure speculation of these prices (mind you check out plays iPhone 4 prices, that takes the cake)

Well, Mobiles.co.uk have confirmed they are stocking this and I'd imagine MPD will be too.

So I'd guess the contracts will be £30/35, the usual. There is no way Samsung are going to sell a phone over the price of the iPhone 4 32GB, it just makes no sense. While we know its better, most people wont and will just  at the price.

i have only just noticed that its only HTC's stock web browser that goes full screen after the page has loaded - i.e. the notification area dissapears to give you more space for the actual web page...i thought that happened on every stock android browser!!! real bummer! i love that feature.

i'd want this feature on my next phone which is either the S2 or Atrix.

how fast do we reckon a stock 2.3 ROM will be available on the SGS2... A few days after release?

also when u put say a stock 2.3 rom on do we still get full camera functionality (i.e. that beautiful 1080Pness with all the options)?

Expect something closer to June/July, maybe Play mistook the Exynos production date of early March for the actual SGS2 release? :D

As Vodafone have the phone down for coming out soon i can't see it being out that far in the future. If it didn't come out till April then ok but May/June seems a long time for Vodafone to be promoting a phone, as it could dent sales as people wait for it.

Aren't the networks usually terrible for stock/release dates? :)

I'm just going on how soon Samsung can physically make it and ship enough stock to the UK.

Samfirmware have leaked a gingerbread build for the Galaxy S. Just like they said they would do in March, just a day early. :D

Hopefully better builds will be coming out in March with perhaps an official release via Kies at the end of the month???

If its free on a £30-£35 then its a decent deal but if it is £700 mark sim free that is way over priced I certainly wouldn't touch one for 6 months until they drop like a brick in price.
