Actually - messing about with the equalizer now and you're right. I set it to Rock and upped the Preamp and it's now too loud at full volume. Problem sorted.
Likewise for where I live, I would sell my girlfriend for a night to get this phone after enduring this waking nightmare in the form of the Nokia C6.*
*Please dont tell her that though.
Don't get people who listen to their music so loud! You will screw up your ears.
For me the problem was that the volume doesn't go low enough - I listen to audiobooks in bed and need the volume really low but the lowest setting on the discrete slider was still too loud. Sorted it by downloading the app "Music Player" which has a continuous slider which adjusts whatever system volume you have it at so you can go lower than the "lowest" volume.

Not reading through 120 pages.....do we have any ROMs for the GS2 available yet or is it stock only w/ root?

I imagine it will be several weeks before we see a first ROM.
Currently there's a petty cash box out for CM7 being released for the SGS II. The donation potential is big. Very big.

The Samsung sauce was released a couple of days ago so it won't take long for slightly tweaked ROMS to come out, ie cleaned standard ROMS.

Not all that pleased with this Gorilla Glass lark, screen already has a chip in it which is gutting.
I've made a point of never putting anything in the same pocket as it so i don't have a clue how it's happened. It's really obvious when the screen is on too
Ordered a screen protector ages ago, but sadly it'll be arriving too late to keep it in pristine condition.

Gorilla glass is pretty damn tough dude... but as with all things, all it takes is something higher on the Mohs scale to cause it some damage. WHile i'm sure you have been careful, it simply must have come into contact with something harder than it at some point.
My Motorola Milestone is still pretty much unmarked after a year of abuse! Sorry to hear it though, that sucks.
I really advise everyone to get a screen protector and case.

I'm really puzzled though. I keep it in my trouser pocket with the screen facing my leg so if i bump into something it won't hit it. I really cannot fathom how it's happened, nothing has come into contact with the screen other than my own finger as far as i can remember.
I ordered a case and screen protector the day i got the phone. Sadly the screen protector is still on preorder.

T-Mobile can't seem to give me a definite date for SGS2. First I was told "any day now..." by someone late may, then I was told June which corresponds with the information on their website. When speaking to the retentions department, I was first told 13th of May, and today they told me 18th of May, 27th of May, and June.

Might have to look into that, if i get a GS2, i'd imagine it wont be long before i wish to play.
