****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

Auto retrive and notifications off on the default messenger... tried sending a msg to a contact and setting handcent to default, and I still get notifications for both...

Has anyone worked around this? :(

No option to delete defaults as per many online google results..

you could replace the messaging icon in the dock with the handecent one?

I thought that but there seems to be absolutely no way of doing this?

I have a sim-free S2 if that makes any difference - no carrier specific stuff on it. Perhaps this is a bug? Running 2.3.3

I like touchwizz just waiting for some person to figure out how you can set what page is your home page like on normal launchers where the 3rd screen is home instead of no 1.

Actually 4th screen is centre (default) assuming you have a 7 screen setup. I highly recommend launcherpo. The dock is more versatile. you can remove labels, its smooth. Has a nice 3D apps drawer. Plus yuou can set the number of icons in rows and columns, in my case I have a 4 by 5 as you can see in bottom of 2 pictures.

Open the apps tray, click menu, click edit, scroll to find handcent, long press then drag it to a place in the dock. Click back to save.

Its from beautiful widgets, default skin. But got the backgound transparent. Got it setup so when I click on the time it opens the alarm app. When location or date is clicked the calender app opens. Clicking the weather opens a 5 day forecast. Every other one is just obtrusive or doesn't display enough.

Sorry didn't see your reply but Khaan! said it with clarity.

Hey has anyone got one of these case-mate cases yet:

http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/case-mate-samsung-galaxy-s2-i9100-safe-skin-black-p29484.htm

Liking the look of this or their tough case version but is the finish on this like a rubbery feel as I love those kinds of cases as it stops me dropping the damn thing lol!!!

I also love the look of this case but am thinking its gonna be all shiny and slippery, what do you think:

i don't get the whole screen protector stuff, it always looks shabby, they spend ages making and designing the glass on these, plus the crap android phones don't have a great resell value, i fail to see the point. im a sleeve man and get my phone out when its needed, its almost an insult to stick protectors and bumper cases on, i can appreciate a nice case, but like the girl in my office who has a huge case and screen protector on an iphone - it looks pants, all peeling away at the sides and i swear it makes the phone less responsive

+ is this supposed to be gorilla glass on our beasts?

Fixed.
