****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

I am still waiting for someone to give me an answer to .3 please. I want to change the home screen and get rid of some of the widgets on it (or whatever they are called) and just change the appearance. Also looking for some nice backgrounds.

Also, how do I switch apps off? It doesn't seem obvious to me - I end up using the back arrow to go back to applications or whatever.

do you mean theme or customize?

use task manager to kill apps.

Tried the emrg recovery through Kies & again I get the Dll fail error message. But phone seems to work fine , can't see anything wrong with it. Restarted it & attached to PC, kies picks it up & offers the new firmware update again. Am I OK to leave things as they are?

You don't have to update the firmware, it's not essential.

Ok what did I do wrong? I just updated the firmware with Kies and now every time the phone boots up it says "The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedley. Please try again" then I hit force close and it seems to be ok?

I have not really done anything special with it yet just installed a few apps and set up my contacts.

I use go launcher for changing the dock and layout etc. As for closing apps if u hold down the home button you get a pop up allowing to switch to recent apps or go to task manager to close them.

I don't know what I mean :(

Customise I guess - I want to change the wallpaper, icons and get rid of the things on the home page like the google box etc.

Do I have to use the task manager every time I finish using something? Where is it?

hold down the homescreen to change wallpaper/ add more widgets.

Hold down an existing widget on the home screen and move it down to the bin to remove it.

Don't have to kill tasks at all - but if you feel the need due to slowness you can.

Just open every menu and have a play about.

Long Press is the holy grail for Android phones, if in doubt, long press :p

Ti install /anything/ search for it in the Market and just click on the buy/free button to install it, simple as that.

It's been confirmed that only people on Orange network are having the Android Process FC issue mate.
