****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

Right, a factory reset got Samsung Dive working, but I can't figure out how to add my mobile number to it. Has anybody got any ideas?

Have you signed up for a Samsung account, and added/sync'd it on your phone?

This should add you phone number to your account (you add it when registering) and when you log in on the website e3verything should be kosher.

Everything seems to be set up right and Dive tracks and finds my phone ok, just it doesn'tshow my number .

I don't remember seeing anywhere to put my number when registering my account on my phone?

Question

Will leaving this phone charged over night when the battery is for example at 70% ruin the battery? I use the phone as an alarm but want to make sure its fully charged for tomorrow. I usually only charge when the battery is nearly empty.

Hey regarding the deals on affordiblemobiles and quidco cashback - is it true what that guy said on hot uk deals in that you can click on the quidco link and then in another tab go to the deal on affordablemobiles and still get the cashback?

As when you go to the affordablemobiles website I can't find those deals anywhere so not sure how I would go about doing the quidco cashback?

edit: or is it even worth waiting for NFC version?
Probably not.
I work for a place that's gonna be doing NFC testing on products soon so i'd have a change to play, but even im thinking its pointless atm. :p

Just ordered one of those 'Gel Wave' cases, hoping it arrives before the end of the week, as if the car doesn't cost and arm & a leg to fix, then next weekend, GS2 will be purchased. :-p

I found a cool feature of the default video player, when playing a video hit the power button. All buttons and screen touches will be locked during playback!

Also, Apple fanboys are out in full force in this thread :D

Same as the old sgs matey. the thing i love about this phone is its close relation to the old one. live my sgs much it just needed tweaking to this spec. :)

Aside from the App store and iTunes integration, the SGS II has got the iPhone 4 beaten at nearly everything.

I think if I'm being entirely honest, I'd probably have a 4.3" Retina display over the SAMOLED+, I do really like it, especially for web browsing.

Fanboying is just annoying though.
