As T-Mobile can't get the phone in till June, they suggested I go into Carphone Warehouse and upgrade through them and I can get the same deal.

Once I was in CPW they told me they could match the contract but I would still have to pay £99 for the phone. No way I'm paying for the phone (or going for a different contract) so looks like I'll just have to be patient and wait for T-mobile to release the thing.

Apparently T-Mobile are thoroughly testing the mobile to ensure the phone is ok to sell. Obviously not in a rush given every other competitor has it and there aren't any widely experience problems with the device.

oh ok, it isn't appearing for me when I go to Kies! (am O2 branded)

It's only available to upgrade though kies if you have an unbranded phone i believe right now.

If you rooted I use root explorer and go into the system/app folder and remove them from there.

T mobile have prices in shop so fingers crossed it should be on sale from shop from Thursday!

Wont lie they have told me lots of BS is the lead up to this but they did tell me today I don't need to pay for phone on upgrade an so on so CPW can do one asking for £70.

Use Titanium backup to make a backup of what you want to remove then delete with the same program.

Just had a call from O2, they're not expecting stock in until the 23rd At least they called to keep me up to date.

they said last weeknd that they would have stock the following tuesday and they never got any so wouldnt trust them too much, i got mine from phones 4 u in stead.

phone is awsome btw

They did get them they were used to forfill backorders such as mine which i ordered on the 4th.

Hello guys, i currently have an o2 unlocked sgs2 using vodafone sim. i would like to debrand, root and flash the latest firmware.

if i debrand will that mean i can flash the stock firmware?

and also what is the correct order to carry out these 3 things?

Yes, screen off > wake is much faster, no more delay.

follow this guide failsafe as long as the odin settings are correct.

Just follow the guide at XDA, flash new firmware, root and reflash stock kernel.

there is a audio file or 2 to delete to get rid of the O2 boot sound.
