Have a look At the 21 page thread on xda Devs website, it's the phone, I've got a new Netgear WNDR3700 and it just as bad.
I've got to be totally honest here, I've been sat comparing my Galaxy S II to a white iPhone 4 and I really, really like the design of the Galaxy S II.
The iPhone 4 is, in my view, the most 'premium' feeling phone out there. However, I'm not sure the GalaxyS2 is worse, its very solid, it feels nice, its noticably more ergonomic and comes in at about the same size as the iPhone if it has a bumper on (which many do).
I couldn't be happier with it to be honest.

@ Almost exactly 1:1 in scale
(Fully zoomed out I found both phones to be very hard to read small fonts, you'd need to zoom in a bit or use a magnifying glass to easily tell any difference. Retina is better yeah but you do need to squint, comfortable reading on both must be done via some punch to zoom

(you can see certain text gets rendered larger on Retina, note the "SOURCE" text on both though, they're the same size and almost equally as unreadable. but notice how some other texts remain the same size such as article headers. It's like Safari is rendering text slightly larger on text that looks like it will be hard to read zoomed out which is quite neat.)
Still.... look at the size difference! Also that there's more content on screen on the left even though it's smaller in resolution. Also I could not find a way to get the right side sections showing on the iPhone, seemed weird, some parts showed while others did not. GSII showed all parts of the page just fine.

It's big but that shouldn't put you off My uncle said the same thing, then played with the GS II and said it felt way better than what he was expecting mainly due to its slimness.
The HD 2 is a lot less easy on the hands in comparison as it's thick all over even though the screen meets the bezel sooner than the GSII's does. Also the GSII is about 1cm taller than the HD2.

I also had to turn the brightness way down while using it, I never realised just how bright the backlight is on the iPhone4, it was so bright on auto that my eyes hurt after a while.
I've got a split screen HD video camcorder comparison currently converting so will update with that if I can actually manage do it right
Oh and someone asked about disabling the home button wake, see XDA forum where Villain Tweaks 1.1 app disables this button (although it still unlocks the screen once you wake the phone via power).
You need to root of course and it should work on any KE7 variant IIRC. I'm using Villain ROM 1.1.

Left hand one as the screen is worse and earpiece looks odd (if it was a serious challenge
).As I said earlier, most people I see with an iPhone have a bumper on it, with the bumper it is almost the exact same size as the Galaxy S II, yet they dont seem to care or notice!
I'll have to get a picture with the white and black iPhone 4, for the lulz. Interestingly, the white one is noticably thicker and the camera lense sticks out, but Apple have kept that on the quiet... arses.

That's AMOLED, the angle made it reflect light off the large coving on the ceiling and I only took the one shot

Well one thing that I am a little disappointed in is that in the standard browser the text won't reflow when you pinch to zoom. Found this a really nice feature and hope that one of the roms puts this right.
But I did have fun doing my lockscreen and homescreens lol, took all day but I like what I have now. Specially like the greyed out icons of my apps.
