****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

Is there any way to make it so that it doesn't unlock when you press the home screen on widget locker? Also, is there a way to make the widget locker background different to that of the home screen?

Yes:

a) Widget Locker --> Settings --> Buttons & Inputs --> Allow Interactions --> Untick
b) Widget Locker --> Settings --> Look & Feel --> Alternative Wallpaper --> Tick THEN Widget Locker --> Settings --> Look & Feel --> Select Wallpaper

Noob question: On Android - is there something equivalent to ALT+ TAB and ALT + SHIFT + TAB actions on Windows PC (for fast switching between applications - cycling in both directions ?)

Is anyone using a mac and successfully syncing their music and playlists to their SGS2? I have found a few apps that sync music, but they seem to not create a playlist on the phone. I can see the .m3u files created on the Android phone, but the Music player seems to ignore them.

I've been using doubletwist and that works well using USB

Get poweramp, its cheap and has loads of extra features. It will recognise your playlist files better.

Also deals better with flac if you're into that sort of thing.
I like the interface on the stock player, but would buy Poweramp if it definitely worked with my playlists. From screenshots the poweramp software does not look as nice, visually, but I will try the demo and see how I get on.

I used doubletwist and the playlists only show if you use the doubletwist player on the phone. I somehow wanted to use 3rd party software for the music/playlist sync from Mac>Phone and then use the stock player for playback.

Edit: iSyncr seems to work (I used the free version to test). It costs £1.99 and might be my 1st purchased app !

think samsung have a widget pre-installed that shows running tasks which you can put on your home screen. the recent app list will do a similar job though as most apps are never kept open any way but frozen so no app other then the one you're in is "open".

you can also use the GO launcher which shows running apps in the app draw.

I'm trying to decide between a HTC Incredible S or a Samsung Galaxy S II, can anyone tell me which one is better? I would like something capable of doing things that a tablet can as I was thinking about getting a tablet but I think a powerful smartphone would be more efficient for me.

I haven't looked at mobile phones for more than 2 years so I don't really know anything about these new phones..

I'm guessing the Samsung is better but is it the best phone out now? I want something that's top end and android.

Does HTC have any phone better than the Galaxy S II? And what about LG Optimus 2X
