****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

I have a WNDR3700 too.

My test @ 2.4GHz (connects at 65MBps, no point connecting to 5GHz as 65 is the max N speed supported on mobiles anyway).

This is with the router downstairs and I'm currently upstairs.

I will try the launcher you suggested, seeing as it is free. I just really want 5 icons at the bottom. With regard to the battery icon, I wanted the default icon (the green one in top right) to show a number on it, like I have seen in some screen shots. Is that possible, rather than adding a second icon (like the circular one you linked to).

Edit: Is this the icon pack you mean https://market.android.com/details?id=com.droidicon.launcherproicons&feature=search_result will it work with Go Launcher as the page says it is for ADW and LPP launchers.
Edit2: Actually it says it works with Go Launcher EX too!

It's possible if you want to replace a OS file.

Ive sorted the icon stuff now thanks chickamoo! I really want to do the framework battery mod as well to replace the stock one with the circle one... is it realls simply as copying and pasting the file over? WHich one did you use form the XDA thread?

I used the systemUI and Framework from the Litening mod here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101879

It changes a few other things like I now get the litening boot up animation but that's not a biggy. But I really love the battery icon and notification bar now.

And all I did is replace the 2 files on that link using root explorer, just forgot to switch the mount option in explorer hence I couldn't over right the files.

I have ADW EX (bought), LauncherPro (bought) and Go but use Go as my primary for a few reasons:

1: App drawer folders. ADW has "categories" which is similar but nowhere near as functional, it's like a new window you have to click through to instead of "folders" in the app drawer.

Plus, in ADW you have to manually add items to the folders by searching for new stuff and adding them, in Go it's way easier, just drag and drop.

You can use Simi folders but again, Simi is only applicable to the homescreen of dock via a shortcut action and again, you have to manually filter and add stuff as and when you install new apps which is a very tedious when you're running lots of apps so are constantly having to scroll the entire list every time.

2: Quite a bit more control over the whole launcher/dock and homescreen elements with more options sch as transitions, speeds and so on.

3: App drawer has a recently opened apps listing and running apps listing as well, none of the other 2 do and I find this really useful at times.
