Filthy, greasebags that smell of sweat, I reckon. :p

I did notice that smear on occasion but I do wipe my phone far too much for it to be a giveaway... Plus I use Swype for typing. ;)
 
ive flashed to ke7, what's the best way of rooting? there seems to be a few different methods and none of them seem quite clean (yellow triangles left afterwards on boot etc)
 
It's clean enough, 3 step process.


1: Flash insecure KE7 kernel with Odin
2: Use Super One Click to root when phone is booted.
3: Flash back stock KE7 kernel with Odin.

Simples.

Link to insecure ke7? :p please :D also the kernel, that's not the same as rom is it?

that, which is a 520mb, isn't a kernel?
 
also, stock kernel is 150kb, the insecure is 5mb....is that right??

EDIT infact the insecure was zipped up, and when i extract it i get a .tar.md5 :S which is 8mb!

Your download was corrupt if that's the sizes. they are both 8MB, the stock one is the tar file on its own and the insecure one is .tar.md5 (as it checks integrity before flash in Odin).

Khaaan! have you tried any of the other ROM's from XDA yet? We should see a new Villain ROM with all the touchwiz stuff ripped out soon according to the dev, should make the phone much smoother and better on battery too allegedly.
 
brilliant, went smoothly and we can haz root :D

lets see if ke7 helps battery life too. it's a real shame that "programworld" is offline atm :(

I use Villain ROM at the moment, is all good :)
 
quick question: what program do you guys use to watch HD content? I've tried streaming HD videos from my media server (SMB), and it just doesnt want to know about it, jerky and loses sound etc, both 720 and 1080 mkvs, both in rockplayer and arcmedia
 
can people check if samsung dive tracking is working for them? we have 2 phones and neither are being found today though yesterday i did a test and one of them did get found after about 10 minutes. we're trying it on sgs2 and sgs1 without data enabled however even if switched on it's not working.

does anyone know if i leave the page if it'll still be checking and if so how long until it times out? so far seems pretty useless if we lose or our mobiles are stolen
