Hmm thinking of switching from HTC to this puppy - just two quick questions which I haven't seen answered yet, would appreciate any owners confirming!

1) If I slap on a custom ROM, will I lose the ability to use that zooming feature (don't know the name, but basically you put two fingers on the image/webpage and tilt the phone back and forth to zoom in and out!)

2) I use HTC Sync to sync my Outlook stuff with my phones, is it easy to do with this phone? (using both the stock and custom ROMs)?

First thing, i plugged it in (turned off) to charge it up. The screen lights up with a battery icon in the middle, but ater about 20 seconds this dissapears and no other lights are on to let me know it is actually charging as opposed to being sat there and not charging.

Is this normal? Usually phones have some indictaor even when switched off that it is infact charging?

Also, the backplate.. flimsy?! Is there a market here for aluminium aftermarket back plates?

Press the middle button to see charge status, why worry about the back if its connected to the phone?:rolleyes:

absolutely. Horrific stuff. I will deal with this tomorrow hopefully.

How can i mount the phone as a usb drive in windows? the mtp thing keeps crashing when i try and copy files to my card

my internet icon is a horrific orange.

I have:

app shop
backup
games
homescreen selector (there are two themes you have to choose from, one being orange)
maps
orange wednesdays
your orange
orange plus

a shed load of other junk that could be from samsung or orange.

there is also a boot up screen from orange.

Can people get flash to work properly in the stock web browser on orange?

Im going to the adobe flash test page and it doesnt work. i even went to the market and downloaded flash 10.3 update and it still doesnt work?

a kindred spirit; have you got rid of all the horrid orange garbage yet?
 
I have just noticed something very odd with my phone. When the phone is plugged in and charging the touch screen isn't a sensitive near the bottom left of the screen, which means you have to press down slightly harder to get a response (Noticed this when using swype). Can anyone else replicate this?


EDIT: Its easier to replicate this when typing.
First try pressing a keys lightly as possible and it will register. Then put the charger in and press it as lightly as you can again. On my phone you have to press harder. Its annoying when typing when its on charge.


Can someone please try this out and get back to me.

Yes i am indeed. and im looking at ways to de orange it but the 02 seems better supported at the moment!

As its so new i dont want to brick it already, wheras the san fran was dusted on the first night!

Can you try your browser and google search flash test and go to adobes test page and see if it works or if not? That would be cool so i cansee if its me or the phone?
