Hi Guys,

I have had my S2 since Thursday and since this morning I haven't been able to log into Facebook and also, on Windows live messenger in the Social Hub none of the contacts are coming up and i cant view who is online.

I have been advised to re-install the applications, I have done so but I am still experiencing the same problems.

Has anybody else experienced the same problems and if so how have they over come them.

Im on tmobile and i couldnt log in yesterday..

When playing around in my account I found options to block social networking sites, so i turned that off.

I hadnt tested till today but i just tried to login via wifi and it wouldnt work...

I then changed to 3g and its worked straight away (:

Anyone know what skin was used for the Fancy Widget (date & time widget)? I'd like something similar on my screen.

this happens with android i believe and it doesn't have the option to change it manually - other phones do. It's nothing really to worry about but there are ways around it.

it only happens on the stock browser as is GPU accelerated - so to maintain silky smoothness it shows chequered patterns instead of trying to load everything and slowdown.

Try other browsers like miren and this doesn't happen as they are not GPU accelerated.

looking forward to this. It will be a major update from my iphone 3G. :)

It's not really an issue though either way, it loads fast enough and is silky smooth /everywhere/.
 
Contemplating this phone now from reading through this thread. However it would be on Orange as I've found out I get 25% off orange line rental as work have them as supplier. Is it really that bad with all the orange stuff on it not to keen on flashing it yet as I cant seem to find any orange stuff to flash back if needed.
 
If it's through work won't they send you sim free ones as per your work contract deal anyway?

by the time you actually receive it i imagine there will be orange roms available to flash back to :)

the 25% discount is for employees of companies that have large contracts with orange, they just need to take proof of employment into an orange retail store and they get 25% off.

By 2pm today? They are in stock in local orange shop. Its sooooooooooooo tempting. but 100 for phone and 22.50 a month. Thats Panther 30 so 300 mins which is penty 750 data ul txt 50 photo messages and bt openzone access.

I dont think its too bad a deal really.

Like use an iPhone (don't look at me like that :p ) or an older Sony Ericsson.
Or there is an app in the market called My phone number (https://market.android.com/details?id=org.lytsing.myphonenumber&feature=search_result)
